room is clean, location is near the tram
At the breakfast area, the staff questioned us twice—first before we entered the dining room, and then again when they approached us while we were getting our food. During the second interaction, the staff member’s tone was unfriendly and made us feel uncomfortable.

Everything went well when we arrived, but when we return to Zurich the room that was assigned to us our air conditioning was making a very load noise and it took them 4 hours to change us to another room. That was not acceptable, we should have been move soon.

Things are generally what I expected, but I was surprised that there was nothing to warm/heat water in the room. No simple coffee machine or kettle. I stay in the 4th floor and hotel has one public use kettle in the lobby. That's extremely inconvenient for me who tends to drink warm drinks when I work

Location is really convineant. Close to both the train to the airport and a tram/bus stop to see the whole city. Bed was really comfortable. Budget option as the price is somewhat fair to non swiss residents.
No kettle set in the room, nor a safe which seemed to be the standard in any other location. Stickers reminding of saving the earth on almost every little thing in the room were quite annoying. Old swimming pool styled hair drier in the bathroom. Trying to mark up the price on any small thing (plastic cutlery for 2chf as an example). Very expensive snack and amenities machine by the lobby - theres a supermarket on the other side of the road.

The location was great to see the design museums, and the gentleman at the desk was really friendly.
The room was not comfortable at all. We couldn't sleep because the room was so warm, and the front desk staff said they couldn't lower the temperature on the central air conditioner. They ended up giving us a fan, which took up the little space left for walking around the room. There's an odd little closet that is not very useful and takes up a good amount of space in the room.
The room (and the hotel in general) smell bad. When we walked into the elevator, my daughter actually said, "I think someone peed in the elevator." We think it's the smell of the cleaner they use. It was quite unpleasant.

Location is super good! Easy to navigate to/from airport by train, and to/from Zurich city by public transport (bus, tram). Stuff were awesome! So supportive on any topic! Hotel facilities on first floor for adults and children are easy accessible. Good atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Good location if you are driving. The staff was kind. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I did not have breakfast at the hotel.
The room was tiny. I was expecting a bigger room for the price paid. Uncomfortable for two people if you carry a few luggage.

We've recently had a booking in Ibis City west Zurich from Friday 23rd to Saturday 24th May, however and due to an issue in this latter hotel, we got sent to Ibis budget Zurich. We accepted though being downgraded from a 3 stars to a one star hotel and paying for a 3 stars wasn't the best experience for us. And indeed this hotel was roughly less than a one star. The room was so small we couldn't walk without risking to fall or to hit our luggages, way far from the spacious ibis city west rooms that are displayed in the photos. Plus, we didn't expect that the faucet and the shower were literally in the room by the beds which gave a big lack of intimacy to the point that we were compelled to get one of us out of the room to take a shower. As said we weren't expecting this as Ibis cityWest displayed an independent bathroom separated by a door from the room. In addition, and in a normal hotel room a nightstand is necessary by the beds along with a outlet of power to charge our phones (like in Ibis city west). In response to this displeasure, what kind of compensations do you propose ?
