Built in 1889 and family-run since then, the St. Gotthard was recently refurbished, modernized and enlarged. It offers free Wi-Fi throughout its 5 stories. The main pillows are too big. I've never seen pillows that thick. And the shams (small pillows covered in velour) were too small and without a pillow case. I did not want a "big" breakfast with bad coffee for $38. I wanted a proper cappuccino and just a small bite. Thankfully there was a coffee shop that had just what I wanted, but I almost did not realize it was there.

It was my first time to visit Zurich. The location is very good, close to the train station, amazing shops and restaurant. Also, pretty close to a catholic church. The room is adequate. Perhaps, the breakfast menus can vary from day to day. My colleagues and I enjoyed the seafood restaurant. Looking forward to visit Zurich again (this time) with my family and stay at St Gotthard. Thank you so much for a very nice accommodation and making us feel very welcome! We enjoyed our short stay. Until next time.

We were coming from the HBH, the end of two weeks of travel. As advertised, the walk was easy. We were initially shown to a quite adequate room. When I asked about the availability of a bathtub, we were changed to a newly refurbished room that was lovely and spacious. Throughout our stay,the service was excellent. We were particularly well served by the concierge and desk staff, as well as the bartender, where we ate a couple of casual meals. The entire staff was actually quite helpful throughout our stay. The continental breakfast was especially varied and very generous in its selections. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very helpful and friendly staff. I arrived the hotel at 8am in the morning and the staff still allowed me to check-in. Room is spacious, clean, and tidy. Nice bed and powerful showerhead. Perfect location right next to Zurich HB.
WiFi is sometimes unstable. Breakfast is fair, not many choices for the buffet. There are some refurbishment works in the hotel but I guess it's temporary, not a big deal. Everything else is perfect.
