Built in 1889 and family-run since then, the St. Gotthard was recently refurbished, modernized and enlarged. It offers free Wi-Fi throughout its 5 stories. The beds were extremely comfortable. I need to know where I can purchase the pillows. Slept very well. The staff, facilities were excellent. We had a great breakfast and a wonderful stay. Would go back.

The location is fantastic, right by the tram pick up and a short walk to the main train station. There are many nearby restaurants and shops, all walking distance. The hotel itself is beautiful, the room was comfortable and we requested a walk in shower which they accommodated. The concierge was helpful and gave directions and sold tickets to tours and events.

Location, location, location. Very good value for price. Rooms are small but functional. Excellent service.
Looks and feels that a renovation is due, particularly corridors, doors and elevators. 4 stairs at the entrance make entry with luggage uncomfortable.

Close to points of interest. Bell hop was very helpful in handling bags.
Room was so small I couldn’t open the door to the bathroom all the way as it would hit the bed. I’m on a knee scooter so I would have to hop.
