The location is excellent for an overnight stay near the train station. It’s about 30 minutes walk from the lake and close to the city and attractions.
For the famously efficient Swiss, the condition of the room was disappointing. The bathroom lights didn’t turn on (I searched for a long time for a switch, before concluding that it was the one that did nothing). The toilet seat was loose. The kettle stand was there, but the kettle was missing. One of the bedside lamps looked like it had been torn off. When I mentioned these on checkout, Reception made a note but otherwise looked surprised. The breakfast inclusion was welcome, but the food itself was pretty average, and the layout of the space seemed designed to have people colliding with each other. To make a cup of tea, for example, you need to get a teabag from one place, a mug from another, hot water from the coffee machine in another corner, and then milk from the opposite corner. Butter and jams were in separate sections, and if you wanted a knife to split a roll to put butter and jam on, you would go somewhere else again. Perhaps there’s dome behavioural research going on there - I didn’t look for a camera :-)

The walls are extremely thin, the floor had broken spots, the shower had black mold spots
