The Hotel Hottingen was renovated in 2023 and is centrally located, 1640 feet from the Kunsthaus Zürich museum, next to the Hottingerplatz bus and tram stop. It offers free Wi-Fi. The Zurich University, the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), the University Hospital, the Children's Hospital and Lake Zurich can be reached within a 10-minute walk. Direct tram lines go from the Hottingerplatz stop to Zurich Main Station. All rooms in the Hottingen Hotel are equipped with a cable flat-screen TV with 220 international TV channels. Wooden floors and modern decoration round off the new rooms. All units contain a private bathroom.All comfort rooms feature an additional cable internet connection, a minbar and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. The common kitchens on every floor as well as the ironing facilities can be used for free. A washing machine, a dryer and a refrigerator are available at an additional cost. Everything was beyond than our expectations! Compared to city hotels, the room was super big, everything was furnished according to our comfort and amenities are super enough! We are highly recommending as just with 10 mins walk, you are in old town and the area was super quiet! Also, just in front there was a tram which made everything way easier. What should I say for the staff, i dont know! They were super kind, positive, smiling, helpful and friendly! You always feel that you are cared. Thank you for everything and im sure that for the next visit, i will not choose another place!

Very clean and comfortable hotel. 10 minutes walk to the Opera House. Helpful staff. Large Triple room with fridge and kettle, hot drinks also available in lobby. Adjustable heating (March). Not 24-hour reception, your key-card lets you in after 11.30pm. There was a small kitchen on the first floor which we did not use, but would be great for making own food (eating out in Zurich is expensive). We would come back to this hotel again.
Breakfast was rather disappointing for 20 CHF each. A reasonable range on offer, but the quality could have been better.

The room I was booked in was very spacious, had a big desk that allowed me to work comfortably with good light. There were plenty of food options nearby, including supermarkets and restaurants. There was a tram stop less than 5 minutes away from the hotel.
The window was facing the Main Street nearby, and could get a bit noisy at times with the tram. However, this was only intermittent and the tram is not on operation during the night time.
