We received an upgrade to a suite upon arrival- it was wonderful! Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Asked for ice and a fan and they brought them to the room. Location is along the Main Street across from a church that rang some very loud bells but that stopped late at night. Close to everything. Breakfast was very nice with options for freshly made eggs. Room was large especially for Europe.
There is no way to control your room’s temperature. There is no AC. Usually not an issue perhaps, but in May the heatwave in Europe made this 3rd floor room hot and stuffy. Opening windows helped but lets in lots of street noise. During the evening I was constantly getting up to adjust the windows to let in more or less air. Night was cold—50, even 40’s For $500/night, I expected better. We spent over 2 weeks in Switzerland and stayed in 5 hotels and every other one had AC. In the winter, no problem, but with ever increasingly hotter summers, this was a big problem for me. Otherwise, nice place.

Well...this property is right in the middle of the town and next door to just about everything. It is beautiful and chic...old world charm. The food is great, the rooms are beautiful and it was easy to get to the gondolas for ski days. But what stood out the most were the STAFF!!! There was nothing they wouldn't do, and always went above and beyond. I would highlight especially our special friend Rachel who helped us with some personal things as well as travel. Amazing. Highly recommend this hotel :)
Thiss is a very very small thing as all of the food is AMAZING, but the chicken on the Edwards bar menu was very small :) Maybe we were just very hungry :) The food at 1818 was incredible!!! Highly recommended!

Liked the location , especially view of the mountains from the private balconies. We got complimentary upgrade to big rooms with nice views.
It’s an old building and the interior looks dated. But it’s still well kept.

Good location in town
Our room was on the first floor facing an outdoor restaurant. It was loud and we couldn’t have the balcony doors open. The hotel staff did their best to help. Ask for a room on the top floor.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and historic! Upon checking in, we were upgraded to a suite to celebrate our three-year marriage anniversary. The entire weekend, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and celebrated.
The breakfast is also amazing! I cannot get over how good the muesli is. Ever since we got home from Zermatt, I've been trying to recreate it.
