We had the BEST stay! Michele and Thor took such kind care of us, they gave us the best recommendations for restaurants, hikes, skiing - and they made us feel at home. They have made the hotel so cute with tons of thoughtful touches, decorations, giving it a beautiful vibe. Also the breakfast every day was amazing and they even gave us Easter treats. Would highly recommend to stay here in Zermatt and we can’t wait to come back!

Romantica is a family run hotel that sits in a perfect location in walking distance to everything important in Zermatt. We had a spacious suite with balcony and fantastic views. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic. Romantica is steps from the main street with dozens of shops and restaurants.

Thor and Michelle provide some of the warmest hospitality we have experienced in our travels. The hotel is cozy and quintessentially Swiss. In a town filled with 5 star stuffy and absurdly expensive options, Hotel Romantica is authentic and provides amazing value.
I can see the stairs in the cottage to be a bit tricky to navigate for older guests. My wife mentioned offering better cosmetics.

The hotel is centrally located, 30 seconds off the main street, allowing for easy access to all the ski lifts and stores, but still tucked away on a calm street!
Our room was spotless, had a very comfortable bed and a balcony with a view towards Zermatt town and the mountains. The reception, bar and breakfast area are beautifully decorated, adding to the cozy atmosphere.
The hosts are wonderful, and are a big reason why the stay at Romantica is so memorable! Always helpful and so welcoming ♥️

Thor, Michelle, and their newest addition to the certified “good dog club”, Toffee, were an absolute delight to stay with. Zermatt quickly became our favorite stop of the trip and it all started with our stay at Hotel Romantica. From delicious breakfast, to friendly staff, to clean and very homey accommodations, to the advice for skiing as beginners, to the walk down the cobble stone path very close to the main road of shopping and restaurants, romantica was the most perfect place we could have stayed. We will most definetly be back! Thank you all for a great stay! Happy holidays to you and yours!

The owners were absolutely the most welcoming, helpful and responsive to every question or need. The hotel is beautiful and obviously maintained with care and pride. Breakfast was tasty, offered a variety of foods and was served in their nicely decorated rooms.
We don't have anything to suggest. They were wonderful hosts! Every ran us down to the train on our last morning in their cart. We could not have been more pleased.

The hotel is lovely and clearly lovingly cared for. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. The hotel is just a block from central Zermatt restaurants and shops and near the lifts. Best of all, the hotel owner and manager, Michelle and Thor, were amazing hosts. They were instrumental in helping us choose hikes, navigate the city and select restaurants. They always were available to help out and always with good humor and kindness. We would return to the Hotel Romantica in a second!

The shower was not good because you had to hold the shower head in your hand and there were no doors and so it was impossible to not get water on the floor and it was very difficult to clean yourself or wash your hair.

What a great place. On a quiet side street, but very close to the busy main street with all the shops and restaurants. The hosts/owners are amazing. They are 3rd or 4th generation there. The care for the place shows.
