The place is in a great area, overall the facilitirs are very clean, nice, and options around for food. The staff moat of them were nice. There was one that was really rude but it wasnt the majority. The bed and room were very minimal but clean and comfortable.
The only reason I would not stay here again is that its very hard to sleep. Because of the people. It says quite time I believe it was after 10pm but there is no enforcement of that. All the doors swing very very loudly at all hours, even with my Loop earplugs that didnt make a difference. If they maybe fix all the doors where they dont swing and soft close that would make all the ifference in the world and I woukd stay every time.

Very conveniently located right next to Grindelwald Terminal station for easy access to all you need to do in the area. The breakfast is top-notch - a really good and varied spread of local produce, constantly topped up by an ever-efficient staff team. We appreciated the different seating areas for work and lounging, and the great view of the Eiger from the dining hall. The beds were comfortable and the pillows the best we encountered in a whole month in Switzerland!
The room locker key-and-lock is a frustrating thing to deal with. Almost everyone in our dorm struggled to get theirs to lock and unlock each time. At our earlier hostel in Interlaken, our room key-card operated the locking system on our specific locker which made it so simple to deal with. Eiger Lodge should look into investing in a similar system.
Also, for the accommodation prices paid. towels should be included without extra charge. This is the only hostel we stayed at that didn't provide towels with the bed.

Location is very convenient close to Grindelwald Terminal (train, bus, cable cars). Breakfast experience was nice with big windows to see the mountains as the sun rises. I liked that the rooms (at least the shared dormitory) had a sink and mirror in the room so you don't have to go to the toilet down the corridor to brush your teeth. No complaint on the bathroom/shower facilities either, clean all the time. Big comfy beds, lockers in the shared dormitory in case you're paranoid about valuables. Don't forget to check out the terrace upstairs, I can't believe more people weren't there, it has lounge chairs to chill and take in the view.
Location is central but maybe not for people who like to feel really in nature in their hotel, the streets immediately around are less scenic. They promised vegan options at breakfast but these turned out to be just margarine and oat milk.

Breakfast was excellent and the location too. I did miss the station and had to go down by foot, and I talked to other people that did the same. But other than that it was excellent.
I wanted a female only room, but wasn't available. But I ended up making a friend in my room so it's a good thing ;)
