Location. The breakfast was a nice touch.
Needs some updating in the rooms. Staff offerings not consistent. Told one thing from night staff and different info from morning staff.

Couldn't beat the location for being directly in the center of old town
We visited in early January. That being said, we were told it was the "off season" so, nobody to park the car. Which is a major bummer in snowy, freezing cold Montreal in January. We had to bring our luggage all in, leave it, go back to the car go up a few blocks to the parking garage and walk back in the January weather.
Breakfast was a terribly sad assortment of crusty bread, butter one little yogurt for 2 people and 2 super hard sweet pastry.
Our second night was super wet and snowy out and when we got back from dinner decided to stay in and watch a program we knew would be on PBS, the public station from an hour away.
It wouldn't come on without a code. The girl at the desk claimed it wasn't part of the package???
For the over $600 CAD we paid and the additional $50 CAD for parking I felt like we definitely overpaid for the "off season" we visit Montreal often because it's so close to us. I won't book here again.

The hotel is well located, close to the old port and surrounded by art galleries and some restaurants. Staff was very nice, accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast, which was included, was copious and of good quality with homemade rillettes (hmmm!).
Unfortunately the guests above had very heavy steps late in the night.
