Central and close to the Granville Island Ferry and restaurants near the hotel.
The hotel hosts a casino or the casino hosts this hotel. Either way this casino is average, it failed to include a smoking room like the one reserve casinos’. It is not quite as nice as Whitecap Dakota Dunes and not in any way as nice as Casino Rama. There needs to be a massive reset in the casino to embrace indigenous identity over the very Chinese focused casino from signage to local staff speaking mandarin and Cantonese over local french, english or a local coastal language.

- We stayed here as part of our honeymoon, housekeeping staff were so lovely and left us a note and some chocolates to congratulate us. They also left some recommendations for places to visit/eat at nearby
- Front desk staff were also very friendly too
Similar to other reviews the night club within the hotel (!!) was a huge problem. We were on the 7th floor directly above the night club on the 6th floor, on the Friday night all we could hear was loud club music and our room was vibrating from the bass. We were flying back to the UK the next day so were desperate to get an early night so the whole thing was a bit stressful. Near midnight I called down to the front desk to ask how much longer it was continuing to be told it would continue until 3am. I appreciate it is not the front desk staff’s fault and they were very apologetic, additionally we were offered a formal apology and some compensation in Marriott points. However I do feel the need to point it out in a review as I would not recommend staying here on the event nights which seem to be Fridays and Saturdays.
The only other thing is the cooler in the room in lieu of a fridge, whilst cool this was a bit impractical and not very effective. For the money one would probably expect a fridge in the room

The hotel itself is great. Very friendly staff - front office team was great - keep up the good work!
Unfortunately there was a private party in the restaurant / bar area. The music was so loud that we had to move 3 floors up. (Thank you to the team who made it possible). Unfortunately you could still hear everything. For a price of 800$ per night you should at least inform your guests in advance of the party. That left a negative impression, as the hotel itself is really nice.

The assistant managers who attended to me were very helpful. They sought and found a solution to the serious problem of breakfast, which had to be served in the room (which was not equipped for this) and had a very limited menu.
The comfort of the room presents many serious problems. 1. Space for suitcases: there is hardly any space for them. 2. Wardrobe: it is only 40 cm wide, half of which is taken up by the ironing board. 3. Shower: there is no hand-held shower head. Only the overhead shower head. 4. Mini bar. There isn't one as such (with cold drinks), but rather a camping fridge for which you have to leave the room to get ice cubes. 5. Breakfast. A very serious problem because they force you (without warning you during the booking process) to have it in your room and the menu is very limited. We had to sit on the edge of the bed to have breakfast. 6. Wi-Fi. To get it for free, you have to sign up for the Bonvoy programme, which was down for three days. Therefore, three days without an internet connection. 7. Social space/coffee shop/bar in the lobby area. It was always rented out for very noisy events. Impossible to use and very noisy in the reception area.
