Very Poor
Everything could and should have been better. The sixties are over. Time to move on and set the bar higher than coed sleeping, accepting dirty living conditions, ridiculous bathrooms, and leaving the safety of those guests to ffate with ridiculously unsafe building regarding fire potential.

The location was very good, close to all the beaches.
From the get go there was no staff to greet us. We waited a long time before another customer went to get the one member of staff working. She showed us our room which was dated and dirty to say the least. There was no lock on the dorm room door. We were given no key or code for the room or the hostel itself meaning anyone could access any area of the hostel. It would be very easy to walk in off of the street.
Breakfast was included but that is an exaggeration. They offered flour and toppings and told us we could make pancakes with that, That was it. The kitchen was constantly cluttered and dirty so making pancakes would have been difficult. There was no dish soap to wash the dishes. The shower did not work and the handle kept falling off. There was a sign in the bathroom saying you couldn’t flush anything but toilet paper and that this would be monitored with cameras.
Finally the staff walked into the dorm unannounced with no reason. When we were checking out a male staff came into the room 15 minutes before check out (he did knock in fairness) and asked us were we checking out.
We are no stranger to hostels and have stayed in a few that haven’t been overly pleasant but this was unexpected.

Location was perfect. Close to cool shops and the lake
It was a hot day- I mean summer in Kelowna, pretty typical, and the main floor rooms were unbearable. I had to hang out outside until 10 pm then laid panting on the bunk. Window was fully open and a fan was going but nobody could really sleep.
The kitchen is tiny with only one fridge and one stove for so many people. Not the hostels fault, but why the heck would anyone be cooking over a hot stove when it’s 38 degrees inside the hostel already. Just have a smoothie, people. It’ll keep you alive.

The location of the hostel is near the downtown, the staffs are friendly
