It was clean, staff were responsive and very welcoming. Bed and pillows were great!

The beds were comfy
The fridge must of been left open by a cleaner so it froze over in the back releasing no air flow so the food we had in there went bad due to it.
In the bathroom there was also hair on tub walls and on ceiling. Didn't get offered money off my stay at all either due to these things which at other hotels i have before if there were problems such as these.
Parking was also horrible.

Restaurants on site and clean room, snacks and waters at check in was really nice, towels and pillows were nice. Temperature of the room was good. Blackout curtains were good.
The shower curtain needed replacing, no bath fan, light was hard to find, toilet was too low and not water saving and clogged easily.

Location was what we needed
Payed a lot of money and was told we would have no problem checking in at the time requested and that dis not happen. Staff at front desk was not understanding and provided no alternative for our room not being ready.

Comfy to park in the lower deck beneath the hotel. Proximity to Rogers Place was superb! Food and drinks in the bar were awesome. Staff was very helpful and well trained to do their job.
One slight downside was the fact that breakfast was not served in the hotel. Had to go up to Chop Steakhouse to have breakfast served. I tend to prefer a continental buffet-type breakfast.

Paid $1100 for a small king room with a sink that didn’t drain, shower was no good and the room smelled like piss.

The hotel is an older building and I like older buildings (solid wood doors, large spacious rooms, real closet). But don't get me wrong, it's been updated to feel more contemporary (furniture is still a little thrift store), but I personally like the character. Beds are great. Reception is friendly. Location is a bit dodgy -- Uber driver told us to avoid the east side as lots of homeless. But we weren't bothered.
Location is VERY far from the airport. I wish this had been clearer on the Booking.com site. Furniture in the room is pretty shabby but I didn't mind because the room was very clean and huge by today's standards.

Parking close to hotel , although quite expensive .
very friendly and responsive staff.
No breakfast available. The adjacent restaurant was not available one day and on the other day there was nobody attending it .... out of 3 days only manage to dine there one breakfast...
Location - Not the hotel problem, but Edmonton's city center is over crowded with homeless people. Is is so bad that 7 out of 10 people you would meet in the hotel front door are homeless....
Last thing : No safe deposit box in the room ....... come on! we are not in the 80's anymore ...... also no closet were you can hang a suit / dress - only drawers ..

next self care day, if I choose to stay at a hotel, will definitely be booking here again.( if available). As I'd like to try the swimming pool and Jacuzzi next time..
Tbh, the night clerk came across " snobby". Of course he lightened his demeanor, once he realized I was actually a paying customer WITH a credit card..( im metis , so it made me wonder).
