Location is good for downtown business.
We had s suite. and it would have been good if there could have been some dishes in the room. Room service brought up what we requested which was great!!

The location
The room was dirty. Bathroom mirror had clearly never been whiped down since the last person who stayed. Carpets need a steam clean. The place looks really old inside compared to outside. But the WORST part was charging me 40$ to park at a hotel when the nights stay is already over 100 dollars for a dirty room. Its the first hotel in my life that has made me pay for parking the only reason I chose the hotel was so we vould park there and walk to where we needed to go. But what was the point when it cost 40 dollars to park at the location we wanted to anyways. Felt like theft and it was too late to book elsewhere on such a busy night for the town.

Wonderful
We always enjoy staying at the Matrix hotel. The lobby is very beautiful and the 2nd floor lounge is cozy and handy. The beds are super comfy (firm) and the linens are lovely. The staff is always friendly.
We think that $30 for outdoor, uncovered parking is expensive.

The room was on a higher floor and was quiet, the bed was comfortable, good water pressure in the shower.
The room felt cold even when I turned the heating up to the maximum temperature of 32C, it felt like the heating might be capped at 24C. The rooms are showing their age with the chipped wood, paint, and furniture. Regardless of how many times I have stayed here and requested a shower chair and/or rubber anti slip bath mat, they never seem to have one, even though they could purchase a mat for less than $20. I've ben asking for this for the last 9 years. The only reason I continue to stay here is that I do not drive, so they are very convenient to transit and generally have some of the lowest prices. I just wish they would invest in some very cheap, very inexpensive bath tub mats or shower chairs, or even install grab bars in the bath tub, for those of us with balance issues. On our last trip in the fall, they showed us their accessible rooms, but it's not meant for someone who is travelling with someone as it looked like a double bed, so not great if you're not travelling alone. Also, on previous trips, I have been able to check in early, on this trip, they've instituted a $10/hour fee for every hours early you want to check in. So it's not that the room isn't ready, they just want to make money off of you.

I like that the location is located in downtown.
The tap on the shower keeps on dripping even tho it’s turn off and the washroom door is not that ideal (there’s no lock). The washroom dont have an exhaust fan. The room itself is missing some light. The electrical plug is also very limited. I would suggest putting an electrical plug on the wall that is facing the mirror that is installed near the coffee machine and more light by the door. The walls are very thin we could anyone who is walking or talking while passing our room.

Great stay. Hotel is really nice and in a great location. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or tell others to stay there. I had breakfast there one day and it was excellent. The location of the loft cafe is awesome. Could sit there all day.
Only thing I didn't like were the coffee machines in the room.
