Disappointing
Room was nice decent air conditioning, bed was comfortable balcony was nice to have
Didn't like how we weren't informed about the pool being closed for maintenance, the breakfast was insanely dry probably the worst breakfast I've ever had at a hotel, wouldn't even give me a discount for the misinformation definitely not a hotel I'd stay at again.

Wonderful
It was a great spot as our base in Edmonton. It was clean and convenient to Commonwealth stadium. We were able to grab some food and drinks at one of the many pubs .

I liked the value for money and the location. The staff was really nice and efficient. The room, blankets and towels were really clean and done every day.
The hot meals in the breakfast were just warm, and no microwave around. They had to cut the water for some hours, they told me in advance. The AC to warm up the room made noise, and I did not find blankets. They are doing renovations, so no lobby, but that just aesthetic, not a big deal.

Unfortunately it was under construction during our stay so water was being cut off for the full day. The fridge door in the room was broken (hinge) and the lamp was broken and taped up all the way around with packing tape.

The hotel was clean
The receptionist in the morning was rude. I called in asking to send HK with water and a laundry bag and he asked me to come down to take them. I did and he wanted me to take a cup and drink from the water at the lobby!! When I told him I needed it for the coffee machine and to take medication, he gave me a small one. I asked for one more and he was too rude.

The staff were trying their best to make the stay pleasant.
The extreme smell of curry in the lobby and room, was unbearable. Toilet almost overflowed every time. Bathtub was rusted and the drain backed up with every shower. The shower curtain was covered in pubic hair (not ours). The carpet wasn’t vacuumed properly( toenail clippings everywhere) and paid a premium price for 1 star accommodation.

Staff were very friendly, rooms were nice with the balcony.
Hotel was under renovation during my stay and there was constant banging and construction noise first thing in the morning.
