Pleasant
I liked that it was only a $50 deposit. I liked that the cat deposit was only $30. I didn't like paying $25 for parking. Plus the room was already somewhat expensive at $160 ish. All the add-ons felt like I was being nickeled and dimed. Hard to find my way out of the maze parkade. It was comfortable and cleanly and I enjoyed my room view and the Bellamy restaurant view, but not much to do, I was bored in my room. I think if the rate was slightly cheaper it would have more guests.

The fact they made the room very romantic for my partners 60th birthday, with swan towels and rose petals on the bed with robes and slippers for us.
That we didnt have more time in our room to enjoy it.

Proximity to downtown
Tired, old rooms. The funniest thing was paying $25 for parking for one night only to see a sign outside of the building saying for $95 you can park there the entire month. $25 for a small dog to stay? Come on…do better. Won’t be back.

Disappointing
For the most part, the rooms were clean. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Especially, when I had to change rooms and floors. To get a better functioning room and a much better views of the city skyline. That was easily done by the staff. And the staff gave me enough new coffee bags, creamers and coffee sweeteners. For the balance of my stay at this property.
This hotel was built before December 28 1966, when it open that day. And it is really showing it age. This hotel needs a major refurbishment. To bring it up to current hotel standards. Maybe, this hotel needs to spend at least 25 to 50 million dollars. To get this property looking more up to date and respectable. This property, has lost its edge many long years ago. For example. The first room I was in. The water trickled out of the sink spout, with almost no water pressure. The toilet seat are so old. That, the plastic hinges that hold the seat to toilet bowl where old and brittle plus broken. And also the mattress, in the first room I had. Was so old and worn out. That the sides of it was pushed out on each side of It. And sleeping on It, was like sleep on the ground. Rock hard and lumpy. So I switched rooms the very next day. And It was an improvement, to a certain degree. Plus, the main reason I stayed at this hotel. Is the excellent view of the city skyline, the river valley and the panoramic view I got from the north all the way to the south. Due to the building round curvature and room layout. And being on the 17th floor. But the outdoor building windows have never been cleaned in a very long time. I was that this very same hotel about 3 years ago. Around the similar floors and rooms. And even then I thought that windows where somewhat dirty. Obviously, things have not improved since then. When has the windows been cleaned on this building? Maybe many years, who knows. Those windows have a lot of dirt and grim, built up from many countless rain and snow events. Plus, pollution from cars, buses, etc.. Has made the views of the city almost impossible. Especially, If one is trying to take photographs of the city views. And my camera is consistently focusing on the dirt on the windows. And not on the city, beyond the window surface. Due to the dirt on it. That was extremely frustrating experience to the max.

Close to courthouse
Older property. Ceiling in parkade looks like it is going to fall in. Older style - outdated. Couldn’t get a drink before 5:00 pm
