Featuring a wood burning fireplace lounge in the lobby, Basecamp Lodge is conveniently located within walking distance to downtown Canmore plus has easy access to the highway. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, along with complimentary on site parking. All rooms are fully equipped with a Keurig coffee machines, flat-screen TV and refrigerator. Some rooms also include a sitting area, a balcony and / or a fireplace, plus a portion of rooms are equipped with full kitchen facilities. Each room features a private bathroom with a bathtub or shower, complimentary locally made toiletries and a hairdryer. My stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The hotel rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and there was even a sauna available. However, what truly stood out were the two receptionists – incredibly friendly, welcoming, and highly competent! Many thanks for the excellent service!
If you're arriving by truck, you'll have to hope there's a free spot right in front of the main entrance.

It was clean and in very good location if you don’t have a ride. I came with my own car and 5 minutes drive made this not a good value for what I paid.
They asked what floor I preferred but it didn’t matter at the end and I got what the had available but not what I chose. The view was to a backyard with the fence and a bit of mountains and it’s not what I expected for this price point. They had sauna but not even a shower with the sauna, I’m nit even talking about having a small pool or something like this. And when I cam to sauna it was completely cold and it was about half an hour to closing hours so even if I was asking to turn it on it wasn’t enough time to heat up. Trains was coming near the windows few times during a night. It’s not bad place but I totally disappointed because for the price I paid I could get something much better. I know because it’s about fifth time we went to stay in Canmore. Also big disappointment was Booking recommended this place as rarely available and pointed I was very lucky. It was a bit more expensive then different offers but I decided to give a try and I’m not going to chose this place ever again or recommend to someone except people who need everything to be accessible in walking distance.

Bed was fantastic. Decor was cozy. Shower was like a firehose!
Noise from trains in the backyard was mildly disturbing, but didn't happen very often. Parking lot was really hard to navigate, as there was zero room to navigate turns around the building.

Attentiveness helpfulness kindness of staff
Upon self check-in the door to our assigned unit was open. Anyone could have and may have (we don't know) walked right into our room. It was a bit unnerving for both my mom and I ; more so her.
