Staff, room: clean and comfortable size (and responsive, in-room HVAC), beds: comfortable but smaller than expected, good breakfast, clean breakfast area with attentive staff, pool (lots of towels at poolside), location reasonably quiet and close to restaurants.
Bed size... thought they were queens... ended up with doubles... made for a tighter squeeze than expected.
One of beds was very close to AC unit... (improvised barrier to block/redirect the cool air blowing directly on the bed by the windows and AC unit)

Some might say Wingate South is a bit tough to get to - BUT that is what makes it charming and why we keep coming back. It is a bit off the beaten trail and down in a lovely little valley that keeps the traffic and city noise out of this little precious spot.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast.
They closed the pool for a private function without signage and we had to leave after only 15 min of being in it. They apologized for the miscommunication though and offered a small compensation to make up for it.
