The newly renovated hot tub is really nice and they keep the pool reasonably warm, at least it was the days I was there. I do wish all hotels would keep the pool area open longer at least until midnight , even if they only allow adults after 9. Not sure why it is closed at all .
Pool closed to early , check in is. I earlier than 3 and checkout is at 11. You only have the room for 20hours at most many people arrive later and must leave early in the morning often spending on average 9-11 hours, if you add in going out for a meal or the event that brought you to the hotel it about 6 hours to sleep. I think hotel fees should reflect the check in and check out times 11:30-11am fallowing day is a fair rate giving 30 min to clean. Hotels are rarely completely booked and if that’s the case extra staff could be hired to clean with the revenue from full booking. Prices are high and I think consumers are becoming more concerned and demanding of proper value and less unfounded claims and excuses

The pool though we didnt use it - but still accessible just in case we'd like to.
The washroom wasnt properly cleaned.. there was like a build up of gunk in the sink. Also, the flat sheet we slept on had like a blood stain ......... :(

Room was quite good, excluding bathroom (see comments below). Hotel has had some good updates. Complimentary breakfast was good.
Checkin was very slow considering we completed everything online in advance. Checkout was also slow…was suppose to be emailed a receipt..which never happened. Bathroom door or frame was warped and would not close. When we showered there was a leak from the ceiling above. Bathroom mirror also had big chip in it. Ice machine on 3rd floor did not work, later found out only ice machine working was on main floor…put a sign indicating same. Heating pipes in pool area were very noisy and covered in excessive dust.

I recently stayed 2 nights at Super 8 by Wyndham Calgary Shawnessy Area, and it was a very disappointing experience overall.
The room was extremely small, with an old, smelly carpet that made the space uncomfortable. The bathtub was outdated and not properly cleaned, which was unacceptable. The swimming pool also looked unclean and was overcrowded, making it unusable for our family.
We were surprised that even basic amenities like a toothbrush were not complimentary, they charged $2 for it, which felt unreasonable given the price we paid. For nearly $475 for two nights, the value was very poor.
Breakfast options were very limited, and there were no halal-friendly choices. Pork and scrambled eggs were placed together, which is not suitable for many guests.
Parking was another issue. The spaces were extremely tight, making it very difficult to park between vehicles.
I am also very disappointed with Booking.com for recommending this property. It is hard to understand how a hotel with this level of cleanliness and service is included on their recommended list.
Overall, this stay did not meet expectations at all, especially for the price. I would not recommend this location based on our experience.

Loved the location close to so much stuff
Bathroom was a little dirty and the kids running up and down the halls until midnight was frustrating. We had to be up early. Also, at breakfast Sunday morning there was a lady who was clearly “intoxicated” passed out far down on the table so my daughter and I chose to eat elsewhere.

Loved the family suite, for a long competition weekend it was ideal.
The noise from screeching children in the pool late into the night.We turned the bathroom fan and AC on and called the desk, but were told since it was only 930pm they couldn't do anything.

Value was decent
Our room wasn’t cleaned throughly after arrival, the bathroom faucet/sink also didn’t work. Being that it was the only one in the room, it made everything inconvenient obviously. Told the receptionist at the front but she didn’t offer to fix the problem or mitigate the issue.

Room was fine but somehow old. The only problem, they didn't come to clean our room at all. Beds were big and comfortable. Breakfast was fine for the level of hotel.
