When we arrived, the air conditioning in our room was not working. We called guest services to request a room transfer, explaining that the AC was not functioning properly. I was rudely told that maintenance had already come twice and said it was working. When I calmly explained that the room was still hot — even after three hours of running the AC — and offered for them to check it again, the response I received was dismissive: “We’ll check if there’s an available room.” There was no urgency or apology, despite the clear discomfort for our family after a long drive with children.
Eventually, we were moved, but guest services simply told us to “just pack up and move by yourself,” offering no help at all. This made the situation even more difficult, especially with young children and our belongings.
Additionally, I had requested in advance to be placed closer to our family members, but we were initially assigned a room far away. After the room transfer, we were again placed even farther away, which only made our stay more stressful and inconvenient.
Unfortunately, the new room also had a broken shower, and once again we had to wait a long time for maintenance. These repeated issues — poor room conditions, dismissive staff, and a lack of basic support — seriously impacted our ability to rest and enjoy our stay.
We booked this hotel based on the promised amenities and proximity to our family, and feel that what we experienced fell far below acceptable standards.
I would like to request a partial refund or compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort we experienced.

pool was closed. had to call booking.com to discuss our displeausure as the staff couldn't help me. The staff assured me that mentioning that the pool was closed would have occured at the booking. After spending lots of time on the phone with booking.com - the agent told me the staff would offer us something else in return. They offered a pool at a different hotel downtown. We rejected their offer and I guess that's the end of it.

The bed was comfortable and the pillows were amazing. The room was clean.
The air conditioner ran pretty much continuously, but the room didn't cool down properly until early morning. A couple of the lights flickered (a lot) before turning on.
