We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Calgary and booked three rooms for our group. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless and welcoming. The rooms were impeccably clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed—each space felt like a personal sanctuary in the middle of downtown. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was calm, elegant, and genuinely uplifting.
Staff were attentive without being intrusive, and every interaction—from check-in to housekeeping—was marked by professionalism and kindness. The location is unbeatable: steps away from the Calgary Tower, Stephen Avenue Walk, and other cultural gems, yet the hotel itself feels tucked away from the city’s bustle.
The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the amenities—from the spa to the fitness center—added a layer of luxury that made our stay feel restorative. Whether you're in town for business, ceremony, or celebration, the Hyatt Regency offers a grounded and gracious space to return to each night.
Highly recommend for anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of quiet magic in the city.

The bed in my room was very comfortable, the facilities at the hotel are great!
The hotel is across the straight from a very loud bar so the music rattles the windows. The staff moved me to another room, but it was adjacent to the transit train so there was not a lot of quiet. The shower in the bathroom is very disappointing - the shower head looks and performs like it was bought on Temu or something.

Gorgeous interior and beautiful rooms and the location was perfect. The staff made our stay extra special especially Ezra the waitress at Thomsons. We can’t wait to come back!

Interior decor throughout the hotel from lobby to each room is fabulous and very well updated, clean and modern in design with spacious feel and pleasing aesthetics. All the staff, and I mean everyone of the them, were very helpful and professional. I truly believe that the management has done an excellent job of governing high level of standards amongst their staff. I have stayed at 5 star hotels, and staff here were at that level.
Unfortunately, Hyatt Regency Hotel Calgary is located next to a very bustling, high energy night life area as well as tram train line so it can be excessively noisy throughout the night in most of the rooms especially during warmer seasons. Young hooligans on the streets rev their cars and motorcycles anywhere between 11pm to 4am, without mercy, which may deprive a lot of guest's sleep.
Bed mattresses can be firmer, or perhaps the mattresses may have been "tired" due to overuse (I checked 2 other rooms besides mine, they had the same "sink" on the midsection of the mattress)
Don't get me wrong, it is an excellent hotel at a prime location; but unfortunately, local police authorities are inept at keeping the noise problem at bay. I do not fault the hotel for this problem - they simply are the victim of being located next to lively 8 Ave SW Street.

This was a clean, comfortable hotel in a great location. It was easy to walk outside to the walking street full of restaurants and shops.
I typically don't like big hotels, as I prefer rooms where I can get fresh air and not depend on the AC, but this hotel met our needs. Parking was very expensive.

Great location, in the centre of Calgary but still very quiet when in the room.
Room itself was awesome, had everything we needed and a nice comfy bed.
Staff were very accommodating, we were allowed to check in early + they stored our bags for a few hours after our check out time.
