The staff, Melody and Brian, were amazing! Seriously, top notch customer service! The room was mostly clean and a decent size for a basic hotel room. I was especially happy that there was a parking lot right outside that was so affordable.
We found it odd that there were two chocolate easter eggs still in the bathroom, likely leftover from the previous guests doing an easter egg hunt. One was in the handle just outside the bathtub, so it did make me wonder if not everything gets cleaned/wiped down. There was also a large boot print on the ceiling of our room, which is, of course rude of a guest to do. I can understand housekeeping not noticing it as I don't imagine the ceiling is inspected and it wasn't noticed until we were actually laying in bed. The lighting on the bathroom mirror was not very bright, which was unfortunate as it would have been so helpful for my daughter as she got ready for her dance competition.

Quiet.
Coffee pods were supplied, however, the coffee machine did not take pods.

The location is very convenient—it’s just a short walk to the city train and the bus stop to the airport. Many attractions in the city are also within walking distance.
The staff were super friendly. My room was right across from the ice machine and quite noisy, but after I called front desk, they quickly arranged a room change for me. The new room even had a better view.
The room was very spacious. The pillows were on the flatter side, but that actually suited my personal preference—they were really comfortable.
The elevator ad said that appetizers at the bar during happy hour were half price, but in reality, it was only 25% off.
Also, the room didn’t provide a kettle or proper drinking glasses, just disposable paper cups. I ended up using quite a few of them. I understand it’s probably more hygienic this way, but I personally prefer reusable glasses.
The air conditioning was quite noisy, and the USB charging port by the bed wasn’t working.

only one elevator was working. From street level it was difficult to find when walking down the street. Noise from the little bits of traffic was surprising. The bar menu for snacks wasn't what I expect from a bar menu. I might as well have gone into the restaurant, but I was sheduled to meet friends at a nearby restaurant. No GF items called out on the menus.

Wonderful
Great location. Great rooms. I liked the fitness centre and there was also a swimming pool.
The lift sometimes stopped and opened randomly. Using stairs/location not obvious.

Fair
The pillows were a little flat, although the bed was very comfortable. I would suggest getting more firmer pillows.
More firmer pillows

Wonderful
Although this hotel is close to downtown and the Saddledome, it is right on the edge of downtown with trains running by continuously.

Very Good
Staff were excellent, from front desk staff when I checked in through housekeeping, maintenance, security, bar / restaurant, all the way to check out the staff were wonderful!
The shower is powerful and the toiletries nice. The floors are solid (don’t squeak / can’t hear people walking around above you) and the rooms have all you need. Housekeeping service frequency is set by you. The pool is nice when it’s quiet (I found this to be early afternoon).
Great location in terms of proximity to attractions and transport.
The other guests! I was woken up five times between midnight and 4am one night by other guests, one of whom was singing in the hallway! A group of men hanging out by the balcony / elevators on the first floor felt it appropriate to make derogatory comments whilst I was waiting for the elevator after having decided against swimming because there were clearly far more than the limit in the hot tub, unaccompanied children screaming, and it was just too busy and loud for me.
Also, the pillows were quite poor, felt old and used, not very comfortable.
The lighting is a bit off too - the main room has about five lamps and no big / main light so you move around the room switching lamps on and off in the evening!
Finally, I didn’t personally rate the restaurant but I think that was personal taste and, again, the staff were fantastic.

Location to the saddle dome was excellent
We used a black light to always check for bed bugs wherever we travel, no bugs but walls in bathroom were pretty bad, coffee pot under black light wasn't any better, room checks should be done with a black light
