only good thing is the location
The rooms smell so bad. It would be nice if they make leaving shoes outside the rooms mandatory. The place was also full of creeps. People were under the influence of drugs in the middle of the shared spaces. No respect for personal space whatsoever. And it’s very overpriced for what you get.

I didnt have breakfast but i did check the kitchen out. I was pretty good and clean and had places to sit comfortably.
To be honest I didnt like the room next to mine. They were loud. They stopped before the time asked for the hostel, which is good. Bu it was just an inconvenience considering I needed to sleep pretty early to leave for my appointment.

- Two toilets and two showers per gender per floor. It seems not enough, but I didn't wait to use any of these during my entire stay
- Can leave the luggage before check in and after check out
- Great facilities such as the TV/computer/pool table room, laundry room, patio, terrace, and library
- Good kitchen space with free water, tea, and coffee. Free use microwave, stove, oven, and kitchen tools and utensils are also available
- Near train station, supermarket, Tim Hortons, and spots such as the library and Studio Bell
- Would have preferred to have curtains in each bunk bed for "privacy"
- No amenities to expect like towels, shampoo, body soap/wash
- Shower control is not ideal as you need to go through the cold setting first before you can select hot, which is not ideal for showering during winter

I liked the warm welcome from the staff. I also liked the guarded storage room. I had some expensive stuff that needed safe storage, so having the staff manning the room was very important. The location is good as well. However, there were no food options after 10pm as everything was closed.
I was really frustrated by the wifi. The coffee was weak, cold and often running empty. Also, there are no healthy food options in your vending machine. The vending machine is full of junk! Having healthy food options (like packaged noodles, tuna, crackers, organic granola bars, organic cereal, milk, nuts, apples, bananas) could be a great way to generate some extra revenue for your location. This would also be helpful for guests with limited mobility, or guests looking for quick breakfast options, or even guests that are awake late at night when stores are closed. If I was managing this location, I’d be implementing this asap - generating more revenue + adding healthy value to guests.

I like the location, close to many places to eat, access to transportation and a variety of places to visit downtown. It was clean. The closeness to the C-Train makes it a bit noise as the train runs late at night and early in the morning. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The room was clean and came with a handy fan. Most of the staff was friendly.
It was all good, the price is a bit high but still a better deal than a hotel. Although we all know the perks of a hotel... toiletries and a fairly quiet.

Location
Staff no willing to help, I stayed there one night I arrived on Thursday October 23 and didn’t like that the guy who at check in was even rude, laughing when I was taking the wrong way to go to the rooms, very bad attitude. The location was good tho and convenient but the atmosphere in the hostel just bad!

Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Kitchen was set up wonderfully and really appreciate the bins provided for storing food. Staff was friendly. Convenience of having access to things like towels and storage was great.
Location although centrally located is a bit dark. Signage should be improved as hidden due to overgrowth of trees and difficult to see from the road making entrance to the building easily missed. A simple flag or picket sign at the front of the fence would help.
