I liked how friendly the staff was. It was not in a bad neighborhood. It was close to a stampede gift shop a d a super Japanese Steakhouse and two Starbucks.
It was very outdated. I was terrified after reading all the other reviews. I figured it would be a crack, hotel, falling apart, moldy with bugs and dirty sheets.
However, it was none of that. It was just rundown. If they renovated the place, it would be superb. In the shape it is in right now, I found it to be comfortable and safe and it had everything that we needed. So for the price we paid we were able to stay in Calgary during the stampede.

There was mold in the bathroom. And the hot water did not work so I told the hotel about it and the hotel told me to turn on the hot water for 5 minutes. I turned on the hot water for more than 20 minuntes but the hot water did not work after all and the hotel did not fix the problem. So my family and I could not take showers. In addition, the hotel did not refund the security deposit back for days so I called the hotel and the hotel told me that they would charge me more than 60 dollars since the bed linen was stained, which I could not accept. I tried to call the hotel many times to ask the hotel to give me the details of the damage but the hotel put me on hold for many minutes and many times and finally did not get my calls. So I could not have any words from the hotel about the issue.

Room was very small. Lightning was also dim and the chargers was too high .

A homeless man came knocking on our door at 2 AM and trying to break in, when leaving immediately and requesting a refund for our stay and for the night after a refund, we were told they would call us back numerous times and they did not. Do not stay here. Unsafe.

The ventilation of the room was not good, so there was some smell when I got in there. The building is facing the road, so you will hear the noise of the traffic. Just for a short stay it is fine with this price. Not recommended for longer stay.
