Clean, tidy room. Good variety of breakfast items. Located right near a bus stop, so easy to get into town. Was really close to the Stampede, which is why we stopped there. Good laundry facilities & friendly helpful staff

Walking distance fro from Stampede.
NO PLASTIC RECYCLING. Shocked by amount of plastic waste each day in room and in breakfast room.
Unbelievable in this day and age and would take no effort to provide two bins in room and in breakfast room.
Everywhere else we went had this…local cafes, restaurants, Macdonalds and airports.
This hotel needs to review its policies. They have a card in bathroom and being green and not changing towels and sheets frequently but then provide plastic cups in room and at breakfast and even to pour batter to use for pancakes on an individual basis….why not glasses and a china jug and why use single use paper cups each individually wrapped in plastic in room and breakfast area???
Unimaginable how much plastic will go to landfill from this hotel on a daily basis.
This needs addressing immediately.
Aircon in bedroom old and very noisy. Could not have window open due to railway line and level crossing very close by and trains running every few minutes 24/7.
Better and more up to date aircon would resolve this issue and made our stay much more restful.
No evening meals. Only places walking distance to eat in evenings were Days Inn ‘Buckle Bar’ (good) and Macdonalds.
10 minutes in cab to area called ‘ Mission District’ with lots of good pubs, bars amd restaurants.

We needed a place to stay near to the Calgary Stampede for 2 nights and found this was the closest hotel.
Although not what I would normally choose (on a busy road a chain) it was actually really good. Yes it’s a busy main road but it’s a short 10 minute walk along a quiet road (the cemetery road!) to the main entrance.
Parking at the hotel is plentiful and free!
The staff are all so friendly and the room is large and newly decorated. 2 comfy queen size beds and a good size bathroom and also a coffee machine in the room as well as a coffee machine in the foyer for takeaways!
The breakfast included was a surprise and was actually really good. All self serve make your own delicious waffles and pancakes as well as a hot selection of either bacon and eggs or sausage patties and eggs. Plenty of juices, cereal, breads and yoghurt. Little space with not enough tables but I just sat on the lounge outside one morning!
No it’s not cheap or in any way corresponding to $$ to room value while the stampede is on but given its proximity and the comfy beds it’s actually pretty good value! d
