The breakfast at Avani is good. The location of the hotel is great with the complimentary airport shuttle it makes better.
The view from my hotel room this time was to the city side. I prefer the view to the pool which is better

the cafe in front had excellent coffee and snacks were very good - meaning I did not really eat anywhere else. super convenient. Pool was really comfortable and the gym had plenty of equipment to choose from, which was great.
The Saturday I checked in, there was a DJ like 10 meters from my room. It was exceedingly loud and it carried on well past the time they said it would end - like close on midnight. It was very difficult and loud that first night and I did not get enough sleep for the following day - which I needed to work.

Location is great and the hotel is beautiful
A staff member who checked us in had issue with the fact that the names of my husband and sister in law were not not the same as that of mine. They had the booking which was not paid and they simply wanted to check in. He was asked to call me - he refused! They offered that they call me and he said he was not going to call. He was overall rude!

I waited for 50 minutes at the reception, and at 5:30 p.m. I still hadn’t received my room, even though check-in is stated to start at 3:00 p.m. The staff at the reception were having fun behind the counter while the guest, tired after a flight, didn’t even receive an apology for the inconvenience.

Staff very slow but can see they are understaffed and overworked. Menu very limited and restaurant closes, strange for a hotel with a Casino and busy.

The reception staff were very helpful and advised us that a large group was very noisy, going out of their way to provide us with a quiet room. The porter we had was exceptional.
There had been a large group before we got to breakfast. There was no fruit juice. Most of the items were depleted, and the dining room was a mess. This was an exceptional circumstance. Our rate did not include breakfast and the maitre de was convinced we were to going to eat and run. Not pleasant to be treated like this.

In general, the breakfast was good, and there was a wide variety of food available to choose from. However, it would be nice if the food was changed on a daily basis. It becomes monotonous after two days of eating the same type of food every morning. Staff in the kitchen and restaurant were very friendly and accommodating.
Please accept our sincere thanks to the shuttle driver, Mr. Moabi, for his friendliness and kindness during our pick-up and drop-off at the hotel.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the front desk staff who assisted us in changing rooms on the first day of our stay.
Avani was my choice based upon my experience at Avani Lesotho, and I must say that our stay there was more enjoyable than our stay in Gaborone.
I found the hotel to be unclean. The carpet in the hallway leading to the hotel rooms needs to be cleaned or replaced. Used utensils left outside the hotel room would be found unattended.

Breakfast has a variety of delicious food staff to choose from.Swimming pool area was spatial and good for relaxation. However, stretchers need some kind of mattress as bare stretchers are not so comfortable.. The staff were very helpful.
The gym facilities have limited equipment. Upgrading would be essential to accommodate people with various needs. A person who is employed there needs to be someone friendly enough and be willing to show
people how each equipment works, not to assume that people know.

Nice pool, although we were forbidden from using it
Apart from the reception staff, all other staff were rude.
There was supposed to be 3 eating options but only the pool bar was open for lunch or supper. Food was beyond terrible and horribly overpriced, frozen food at fine dining prices. We had to go to an outside restaurant for dinner.
Breakfast was an ABSOLUTE nightmare, no assistance from any staff… had to find our table, plates, cutlery and juice like we were in the “Hunger Games”. No salt, pepper, bacon, service or competence was provided.
