Black mold in both our rooms under the fridge. Both got a cough and sore irritated throat that lasted several weeks. No stores or casino.

The buffet food was very good. Staff was pleasant and accommodating.Beach was nice. Rooms pretty clean.
Not impressed with the restaurants (felt rushed and very limited menu) or bar options (terrible)...no windows. Did not like the DJ music, not relaxing. Too much of a party vibe for us. Pool way too crowded. Poolside room views terrible...other side much nicer relaxing view.

The property was very clean staff were super friendly and a breeze with booking excursions. I loved the 24 hour bar
I didn’t like that there weren’t as many restaurants on the property we found ourselves leaving the property multiple times to go out to a restaurant

Most of the staff seemed to dislike our presence there. Especially compared with other all-inclusive experiences. Extremely opposite to Riu Yucatan, Playa del Carmen, Mexico

All inclusive deal was good value for money, the views were pretty. The food was excellent.
Beach was too small, pool too warm. The room was fine, but a bit small as well.

The beach is nice and not too crowded. Friendly and helpful staff. The resort is pretty clean
The room I booked said ocean view but I got a room that had no view of the ocean. I was told I need to get an upgrade to actually have an ocean view as the room I selected doesn't include a view (even when the listing mentions it). The upgraded room had a nice view but it was very loud outside as it was close to the resort's AC unit (I think). So hardly could sit outside in the balcony to enjoy the view due to the noise.

Very Clean , Great Customer service and good entertainment in the theatre .
No shops on site . Spa prices were too high. Different kind of day time games needed cause not every couple is able to do physical games provided . Suggest a shuttle service to town as well

The breakfast buffet was among the best I've had at any resort. Omelette bar, pastries, fresh fruit, almost anything you could think of. They also have four specialty restaurants but we were only able to get seating at three of them. The specialty restaurants did a great job of making it a fine dining experience. Friendly and attentive wait staff, exquisite table settings, wonderful atmosphere. There was also a 24-hour bar with snack food available, which came in handy a couple of times.
We had a beach-front room with a balcony that faced north, allowing us to watch the sun rise in the east, right over the water. Wonderful room, comfortable bed, and the sounds of the sea was soothing.
It was also just a short 15-minute walk to the Atlantis Marina with shops and dining, and you get to window shop for yachts docked there.
Note, we were there in April 2026 and there was construction on both sides of the resort going on. Ordinarily, this was no issue, but on some days there was loud construction noises coming from the site on the west. This was in no way the fault of Riu Palace, but wanted to note it. The area to the east was empty but construction equipment was moving in to build (likely) another resort.
The bar staff were not always the most pleasant - they were attentive, but not always friendly. Staff in every other area, from front desk to cleaning were wonderful and a pleasure to interact with.

The staff were very friedley. Pools were good. Beach was excellent. Food was good.
The bed was really hard. very uncomfortable. A high end resort need to have a sleepable bed. Also the bartenders in the outdoor bars were very unfriendly. Acted like they didn't care. And very slow.
