Wonderful
Beautiful place offering refuge in the middle of the Bahamas' most densely populated island. We appreciated the hotel's amenities and the staff was exceptionally polite and responsive. We will be returning!
It was a bit restrictive in terms of food options. There are 3 good restaurants on the property but lots of items were unavailable during the days of our stay. Getting to other restaurants was difficult if one does not have a car at their disposal + traffic was unexpectedly busy.

Wonderful
Pool, food options, fitness center + sauna, and the beach club were amazing. Staff was also lovely, everyone was kind and accommodating. Did not feel touristy at all which we appreciated.
Really wish it was on the beach BUT access to Old Fort Bay Club more than makes up for it.

Great restaurants, a nice pool and gym, and friendly, attentive service at the pool and restaurants.
Front desk communication was poor — they failed to relay a restaurant reservation and the agreed late checkout. Also, the hotel is located right in the airport’s entry lane, so planes pass overhead every couple of minutes while you’re at the pool.

I LOVED THE LOCATION, THE STAFF IS EXCEPTIONAL .THE STAFF MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE IT IS MONEY WELL SPENT. THE HOTEL ITSELF IS GORGEOUS .THE VIBE OF THE HOTEL MAKES YOU FEEL THAT YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN PRIVATE ISLAND. THE ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS AND WELL DECORATED.
THE BIGGEST WISH IBHAVE FOR THE ISLAND HOUSE, IS I WISH IT WAS BEACHFRONT, WHERE YOU COULD WALK RIGHT TO THE BEACH. THERE ARE NOT MANY THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE..I THINK I WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST SOME THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE THE ISLAND HOUSE ABSOLUTELY. PERFECT FIRST OF ALL THE DINING OPTIONS, AT THE HOTEL IS VERY LIMITED. I THINK IT WOULD BE GREAT IDEA TO BRING IN A FOOD TRUCK WEEKLY SHOWCASING LOCAL CUISINE . THEY COULD ALSO HAVE A ROTATING MENU EVERY OTHER DAY AT THE CAFE THAT WOULD GIVE MORE VAST OPTIONS TO HOTEL GUESTS.
THE HOTEL LACKED ENTERTAINMENT OR EVENTS.THEY SHOULD CONSIDER MORE LIVE ENTERTAINMENT ESPECIALLY ON SATURDAYS, EVEN A POOLSIDE BBQ WOULD BE GREAT. SIP AND PAINT, AND OR A COCKTAIL AND BITES MIXER CLASS WOULD ALSO BE GREAT.
THESE ARE JUST IDEAS. HOWEVER I HOPE THEY WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Friendly, helpful staff, lovely pool area, great restaurant and food. Beach club is a beautiful setting and the shuttle is very easy and drivers very kind.

Beautiful, quite resort. Nice large room, with a terrace overlooking the sea. Beautiful pool and very good restaurants options (the Italian is pricey!). The private beach is 5 minutes drive from the hotel (transport provided). Service is excellent, everyone is friendly. There is also a gym and a studio with classes.

The property was beautiful. The grounds are well maintained. Our room was perfect and the decor and design of the whole property was gorgeous. The fitness classes were all really good! The squash courts were being renovated but once that is done that will be great. The food on site is delicious.
The location is difficult if you aren’t renting a car. Taxis are very expensive so it will cost $60 to 80$ US both ways if you want to go into town for dinner or if you want to explore a different area. You also can’t walk anywhere from the property. That being said if you are looking to relax and not do a lot of site seeing The Island House is perfect for that. The shuttle service to and from the beach works really well and Old Fort Bay beach is exquisitely beautiful. I wish that there were fridges in the room so that one could purchase their own snacks.

Beautiful rooms, away from the bustle. The beach that is part of the hotel (but a shuttle away) is stunning
Amenities a bit lack lustre for the price. Only coffee available in the room, no room service no mini bar. Restaurant were decent not not amazing and service not consistent. The beach is a shuttle away, but not consistently available (only from 10am in the morning)

Beautiful decor in the entire resort - they thought of everything when designing this property. Everything is so tasteful from the beautiful hotel lobby and rooms all the way down to the pool towels. Great pool. Stunning private beach. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Quiet island location.
