The location is amazing. Its right downtown by the Straw Market, where majority of the boat tours leave from, Senior Frogs, etc. The beach is beautiful we saw a Manatee swim past us! Beautiful fish and snorkeling. The pools are pretty and warm, the staff was very nice and the beds are comfortable. The bar had great food too. Macdonalds was right across the street (for our one picky kid, and also to get cheap breakfast) Beautiful hotel. Ran into many pilots and flight attendants staying there too.
The bathroom didn’t have a shower curtain or proper fan so everything was always clammy and humid and took forever to dry swimsuits and towels. We also had a room with a connecting door and the could hear the neighbours argue (and puke) hahaha probably too much rum on an excursion. We have a good sense of humour at least to laugh at that. The hotel handles the payment NOT booking.com just to be aware of that at check out.

The facility was recently renovated. Everything was new and clean. Decent food choices at the two restaurants, but also plenty of easily accessible food options outside of the facility
What you get quoted when you book is about half of what you actually pay, excluding food

Fair
Location. Private beach and pools.
The extra charges they charge to your card , where the price you reserved the room for ends up to be almost doubled. Taxes , tourist fee , city downtown tourist fee , (yes two separate ones) F&B vat ,service charge , room charge , ..... The breakfast was the worst . Waited 50 minutes for some eggs and toast . They served people that came after us , servers came to our table several times to apologize , saying our order was coming out in 5 minutes .And when it finally arrived the eggs were burned .The people working there have no idea what they're doing , running like chicken with no head for no specific purpose , the restaurant was almost empty. Next day we went next door to Margaritaville, which wasn't any better , I guess it's an island thing . They brought me the coffee but not my toast , my coffee got cold so I asked to be warmed up , they took my cup and never brought it back, the toast came and no coffee. Sad part is there's no place where you can have a breakfast around this area , just a Dunkin donuts across the street, so you're doomed to these two places. One other thing I didn't like was that the shower curtain sticks to your body when you're showering.

The oldest resort in Bahamas with a character. Great location in the downtown Nassau with access to a private beach. Nicely decorated, clean and spacious rooms. Hotel staff were super nice. Great restaurant and bar.

The location was perfect, property beautiful.
Lack of information,we were given a later on arrival with little information and pointed to the elevator,u can easily rack up charges without knowing,no one tells u what's included and what's not ,and also wish u can use cash especially for persons who have limit on there card , would spend a lot more time on property if cash was an option.

Pleasant
The location is great and the shared areas were stunning.
The bedroom was very spartan and the gym showers, which we were told we could use in lieu of a late checkout, were TERRIBLE!!! It was nothing but scalding hot water no matter which shower you used or how you changed the tap configuration!

Lovely hotel. British Colonial was a beautiful setting from the lobby to the outdoor pools and beach to the rooms. The location was perfect as it was within walking distance to every where we needed to get (restaurants, sites, shopping). The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Good
I liked the facility and quite beach. Staff was nice, rooms were nice.
I didn't like the long waiting times for the meals in the different bars (especially the beach bar, >1 hour for a salad), also not many options around the hotel. The breakfast was too expensive (>40 dollars/person)

Pleasant
The location. Was great as I sat by the beach in the mornings and watched the cruise ships dock
The actual cost of the room exceeded what Booking.com indicated would be the full amount on including taxes. I was also billed $108 for an expense that I did not incur
