Everything! I extremely recommend this hotel in Salvador - Bahía. Comfortable, beautiful, clean, delicious food on a dinner and breakfast experience and very friendly and polite staff.

Breakfast buffet included daily was good. Dinner buffet was excellent WHEN THEY DECIDED TO HAVE IT.
Dark depressing hallways, pool was bare minimum. Beds and pillows like rocks. Air conditioning too weak.
You did not know from one day to the next if they were doing dinner buffet until 2 hours before. Ordering off menu was atrocious and VERY long waits/ignored by staff.

We had some problems on a booking in july. We are recurring clients of villa gale. Wrote to them and wrote to booking. High demand period higher prices. July. Asked if pls they could leave as CREDIT for a lower Price booking in September.
Yes it was a no refund booking. But given circumstances at least reply with a NO. so we left the booking and no win win agreement. Disappointed. Perhaps fair. But the hotel was fil easy to fill our vacancy. Excessive greed with your recurring clients is not a pleasant feeling

The hotel has a good location and some nice areas. The doorman (I believe his name was Edison) was very friendly and welcoming, and he was the person who made the biggest effort to make foreign guests feel comfortable.
The rooms feel quite old and have an old smell that could be improved. During my stay, only one elevator was working, which was inconvenient. The elevator to access the pool was also not working.
The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The system for ordering eggs was not well organized, and the service was not friendly, especially toward international guests. After traveling through Brazil from the Northeast down, I had received very warm and welcoming service everywhere else, so this experience was surprising.

I’ve asked for an orange juice at the pool. It was spoiled, so I asked to change and the waitress said it was all the same. So I asked for a coconut water, but it they didn’t have it anymore.

The location is perfect — close to everything, yet peaceful and relaxing. The pool is beautiful, ideal for unwinding after exploring Salvador. But the highlight for me was the breakfast: the delicious tapioca freshly prepared by the talented chef @devaniltonf ? — such a special touch that made me feel at home.
