Property exceeded expectations on all levels. This was my first time staying at a hostel and I was hesitant to do it, but the service was incredible and I did not feel much difference compared to hotels. Very clean rooms and restrooms. Staff is super friendly and humble. Breakfast was fresh and very tasty with so many varieties. Location is great for anyone visiting Salvador, Bahia. I met people from all over the world, including Europe, North America, South America. I had an unexpected incident during my travel and the hostel staff including the owner (Olivier) were super helpful and assisted me in every way possible. Definitely coming back if I visit Salvador again.

The AC in the dorms was way to cold and we had no blanket. I highly recommend to add blankets to the beds

We really enjoyed our stay at Chez Marianne. The room was so nice and comfortable. We had a nice view to the ocean and breakfast was really great. Staff was also super friendly and the area is nice and safe at night. Would definitely recommend it!

lovely place with spacious room in the neighborhood i loved the most in Salvador! good vibes and nice places to hang out, beside the beach which is amazing. much safer than other areas to walk around at night - though you always need to be careful. super friendly and helpful staff and amazing breakfast with plenty of options to choose from!

Breakfast absolutely outstanding. Staff very friendly. Room was very clean and extremely comfortable - great size and facilities. We especially enjoyed the large window where its possible to sit, similar to a balcony even. Area felt safe. Some small markets / bakery close by. Decent amount of restaurants close by. Close to the water can get a nice view for sunset.
Nothing to dislike about the property. The area felt like it lacked a little energy at times, but that could have just been the day and time when we were there because there are restaurants close by. Also the good thing is you know they take cleaning very seriously, the bad thing is the smell of their cleaning product isnt very pleasant.. although I prefer clean and average smell to not clean :)

Absolutely lovely ! The rooms were super clean and very well decorated !
The breakfast is AMAZING, one of the best we had in Brazil after 3 weeks traveling around.
