Lovely old hotel. Our room had a balcony and view. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast was good with beautiful view of the bay. Would recommend.

Great location, decent breakfast with nice seating area.
A lot of hotels on booking.com are advertising things they dont deliver. I paid a little extra for a sea view and got put in a city view. Its just frustrating that you cant rely on anything you read on booking.com, have had this issue with car rentals as well with booking.com, its like youre always in for a surprise and bookings customer service is basically non existent so I try to avoid using the company

The location is excellent, really spacious room with great value for money.
They have a fantastic balcony but sadly it seems to be shut off after breakfast, itd be good to have the option to buy a drink or take your own drink to the balcony to enjoy the sunset.

The room is amazing! Very well located in one of the most beautiful streets in the city. Many bars and restaurants nearby, but far enough to enjoy a nice quiet sleep. Enjoy a Beautiful homemade breakfast with a nice view over the port

The staff made us feel very welcomed, especially as we did not speak any Portuguese or Spanish. Thank you to Lucas for all his help.
The issue with the AC and the TV, however it was resolved, once we got over the language barrier.

Very well kept old building with nice features Large and comfortable rooms Breakfast is on a terrace looking over the port Well located on a lovely street, 10 mins walk from Pelourinho. Perfect location for Carnival.

Nice rooms, confortable beds, big rooms, nice people, good area to stay for the Pelhorinho.
The only thing i was dissapointed i little, they close the nice terasse to the seaside after the breakfast.

Lovely hotel, excellent location and great breakfast. Very little English spoken by staff but still more than the amount of Portuguese we speak. Didn't matter. Rooms well thought out and clean.
We had a large room at the front of the building with 2 balconies. We loved it as you could stand and watch what was happening on the street/square, like all of the locals. However, if you are a light sleeper or go to bed early, that might be problematic .

The property is finished beautifully: the woodwork, the tiling, the staircase is a marvel.
The cafe da manha is lovely, served with kindness and varying house made specialties; and the view is spectacular.

The location was perfect, the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious with a stunning sea view.
The sheets and towels unfortunately werent very clean.

My room had a little balcony/terrace with a view to the Baia de Todos os Santos (All Saints Bay), which was fantastic. The breakfast cooked by (Juliana I guess), was delicious with a variety of local dishes, fruits and breads, totally wonderful. Jair from the reception was really helpful and attentive as well as all other member of staff. The location is good, (about 10 mins walk to Pelourinho), with bars and cafes in the surrounding areas
The sound isolation of the room was poor, terrible actually. We could hear people walking up and downstairs as if they were inside the room. The lift never worked during our stay, so if you have any disability issue it can be a problem. A little upgrade is required to turn this sweet and attractive hotel into a wonderful place that it deserves to be. The street outside can be scary on Mondays as it's deserted, but from Tuesday to Sunday it's OK and full of life. Our room had a small wardrobe and to make it even worse, they decided to put a mini fridge inside it to make it even smaller (go figure). The safe inside the wardrobe was tiny, the size of a lunch box and to make it even worse it wasn't bolted to the wall, so anyone could just pick it up and take it away.
