If you want to have breakfast while looking at a beautiful garden where a family of tiny monkeys lives, and listening to classical music, this is your place. The room was huge, and Paulo at the front desk was very helpful. The location is very good, as it is not in the middle of Pelourihno, but still close enough to arrive there in less than 10 minutes. Would highly recommend this place.

It's a beautiful building located less than 10 minutes away walking from Pelourinho. The staff is super friendly, the breakfast is delicious and the rooms are spacious. It's not a luxury stay but nevertheless very charming. I'd definitely return there whenever I go back to Bahía.

The lodging is also a cultural centre and I was delighted to witness/listen to their choir's classic music rehearsal during my stay. They also have classic music coming through the speaker during breakfast, which is wonderful. Staff are always available, friendly, and helpful. Good breakfast with a friendly cook available to accommodate one's preferences up to a point No proper yoghurt, only strawberry-flavoured yoghurt. The only muesli/oat available was a ready-made sweet one. The room was clean and overall comfortable. The Pousada is very close to Pelourinho, one of a major historic area.
It would be nice to have some sample shampoo and conditioner in the room, as I left mine behind expecting to find some. The safe inside the wardrobe was very small, there was only space for a passport and small things, no space for a laptop.

Beautifully furnished and period decor, very good breakfast. Quite a steep hill to arrive there walking from the centre. Very good value for money. Wasnt easy to find staff.

It is the most beautiful place one of a kind it’s full of original antiques and the gardens are tranquil and beautiful. The breakfast room is the most beautiful place to enjoy the start of your day.
The breakfast buffet is very tasty and has a great variety.
Fresh picked fruit from the garden and homemade jams from the garden, as well as juices, eggs and fresh bread rolls.
The Owner and his staff are fantastic!! We cannot wait to come back. We extended our stay twice because we loved it so much.
There is nothing not to love about this little gem.

Excellent room! Very spacious with big and comfortable bed. The shower was very good as well.
Location of the pousada was very good for walking around Centro.
One of the photos indicated that breakfast would be available at the property which was not the case.
It would be nice to have some coffee making facility in the room if no such is offered on premises.

The owner and the staff were all very kind and welcoming. The buildings were charming. The room had all the necessary essentials and were clean. The breakfast was awesome. We much appreciated the internal court: beautiful and specious. We had all the space we needed to do some morning exercises and tai chi before starting the day. The location was really practical; we could reach all the touristic attractions comfortably by foot and the metro station wasn’t too far away either. The building’s atmosphere, the furniture, all the pianos have the Pousada an exquisite charm. (And we got a great price. A little more than very basic hostels and accommodations without breakfast). Next time we are in Salvador we are definitely staying at Pousada Barroco again!

Always that I visit Salvador, I go to this small and charming Inn in a nice historic neighborhood. The place is clean, friendly staff, comfy room and a nice and delightful breakfast. Location is good and the wifi works fine. Very gay friendly. They have a classic music choir that gather every Monday. It was very good to hear some pieces from Bach and Mozart.
