Staff are very helpful, the building is quaint the location gives you a clear understanding of what it was like years ago.
Lack of airconditioner in the common areas. Even standing fans are not a common feature in the common areas. The bedrooms have airconditioners.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Bahia in Salvador. The hotel is beautifully decorated, with a lot of character and charm that reflects the history and atmosphere of the city. Every space feels carefully designed and full of personality.
What truly made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warmth made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
A fantastic place to stay if you want to experience the charm of Salvador in a unique and elegant setting. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property in the center of the old city. Our room had a small balcony with a nice view of the old town. Very clean and well maintained with a very lovely staff, who we like to say THANK YOU! Everyone who was working there was very kind , polite and helpful. Great breakfast as well !

The staff is the best. The property is clean and in the middle of everything. Free breakfast every morning was fresh and nice. The beds were super comfortable and the charm of staying in such a historical location is awesome.
I would have liked more of a breakfast selection and lounge chairs to hang out by the pool and do some work. The air conditioning is modest and could be cooler.

Lovely location and great breakfast.
I got a serious injury on my ancle from stepping over an old nail that fell from a door in my room (at the very beginning of my honey moon!) it was a major disappointment that the hotel is not well kept. I had to loose a day going to the hospital, (experiencing the social harshness of the local hospital with handcuffed thief’s and armed police making a fuzz on the place) i had to be vaccinated against tetanus, spent the rest of my holidays limping.
overall it was nice but this experience affected my whole trip. The offered cordon with an extra night on because i requested it. Staff was helpful and the driver that took me to the hospital was very kind too, but this goes to a higher level of administration and maintenance.

Breakfast and location were excellent! Beautiful boutique hotel with gorgeous pool and terrace.
Bed was a little hard, and the music outside (which I loved!) meant you had to stay up a little late.

Loved that the hotel held onto its old world charm and the setting was authentic. It felt like stepping back in time but with all the modern elements. Perfect location to experience Salvador and some great restaurants nearby. Would highly recommend the hotel!

This hotel is incredible : absolutely gorgeous decor, with the cutest pool, and the personnel was super helpful and delicate (the breakfast ladies were amazing too). It is the perfect spot to relax and eat delicious food.
I cannot recommend enough !

Delightful Hotel right in the heart of the historic part of the town. Extremely nice and comfortable room and very pleasant shared rooms. Service was excellent and breakfast very nice. Highly recommended.
