I rented 2 units, asked for one extra hour for check out in one of the apartments and this was denied. This is frustrating.

The location is really great. You can walk to the beach in about 20 minutes. There are supermarkets close by where you can buy food. There are also some restaurants. There are a couple museums just a few blocks away. You are close to many tourist destinations and can easily jump in an uber. The breakfast is decent. The cost is really reasonable
The rooms are a little plain. Nothing fancy. A king size bed is not a real king size bed but two double beds pushed together.

The highlight of the stay was the free breakfast. A nice variety of choices with authentic feel to them as well. We selected this hotel because of the Breakfast reviews so I did have higher expectations, but I was definitely satisfied with the breakfast. The hotel is close to convenient stores, relatively close to the beach, and definitely safe. I could see staying here again if travelling by myself. Front desk staff was proficient in English, which one does not get too much of in Brazil in general, let alone Bahia.
Bathroom was a bit small, especially the shower area, but this is comparing it to 4.5+ star hotels which I normally try to stay at for our annual Christmas trip. Compared to dining at restaurants in Salvador, the tastiness of the breakfast lacked the unique Bahia flavoring. Since the hotel and the street is elevated, one is not as close to the beach as it appears from a quick glancing of the map.

The staff is always very friendly, including the one who speak limited English. They have a very good reasonably price room service menu with no extra charges for delivery.
They have started charging for breakfast.

Unfortunately the hotel could use some general makeover and some more thorough cleaning. In our bathroom were still hairs from previous guests; the dust on the baseboards was thick and at breakfast, we had to dig for clean plates and silverware at the buffet. The breakfast was also not great, very bland and low quality.

Stayed two nights and it was nice. Nothing spectacular but cozy. Have iced lemon water in reception that I loved. Location is in the middle between different sight seeing places but uber is needed. In the closest proximity there was not much to see.
