Nice quiet place to stay on the way to historic center. Clean and cosy. Plenty if choices for breakfast. Owner is very helpful and put lots of efforts to make you feel welcome

The pillow was covered in black mold. The front door was chained closed and we did not have a key. No window in the private room.

The owner is super nice and helpful. The bathroom was clean and quite big. We left too early to try breakfast but I'm sure it's good
We only spent one night there and it was ok but I cannot imagine spending a couple of days there as the place is really small in general and the room as well. The room has no windows.

The location is excellent, and the breakfast is simple but delicious. The owner of the place is a one man show who runs everything and takes it very seriously, and he does a great job. The beds are comfortable and the one bathroom is simple, but clean and effective.

If I return to Salvador, this will be my first choice again. A simple room, but in a very good location, quiet and a very nice host. I slept very well and the breakfast was delicious.

Very good location overall although the last 2 streets at night can feel a bit unsafe, the room is fine for the price, breakfast is simple but good. More than anything price is cheap.
Lack of flexibility. You are very dependent on the host, no key, no independent entry. For the same reason, could not keep the luggage after 8pm. Host was fine and polite but I sensed more for his review than really trying to help. Also little flexibility in service, he requested me (and insisted like 5 times) to check out at 10am instead of 12pm because he has promised the next ones they could check-in earlier. But himself he showed no flexibility in using the shared bathroom to freshen-up in 5min while picking up my luggage or in keeping the luggage longer as my bus was at 11pm. No space to wait in the hostel either (no lobby or shared space).

The host Gerardo is amazing. Hes super friendly and super attentive to his guests- fun to talk to as well! The amenities were exactly what they needed to be. Breakfast was superb, and location was very close to Pelourinho

Gerardo was a fantastic host. Welcoming engaging, as well as being more than happy to give advice or help in any way. The location gives excellent access to the neighbourhoods of Pelourinho and Santo Antonio, as well as Saude. The rooms are comfortable and private and the fact the hostel is small, with just three rooms means it is a very tranquil place to stay. Overall, I was very happy with my choice!
