Very good location for visiting the Pelourinho and other important tourist sites in Salvador. Comfortable older hotel that has been very well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. The weekend breakfast buffet was fabulous — weekday breakfast was good, but not quite so great. Surprisingly quiet for a large hotel in s busy city.
Very crowded and noisy rooftop bar and pool, though it was quieter during the week days.

Everything was absolutely incredible, from the customer service to the room and rooftop pool. Beautifully maintained, and probably the best customer service we’ve ever had! They gave us custom recommendations for cultural activities for the night, and made our stay during our honeymoon extra special with a hand written note and chocolates. We even got a hug goodbye! The space is beautiful, but what really made it above and beyond are the smiling, kind, warm and welcoming people who work there.

The building is gorgeous, The room was great and the staff super friendly.
I had a wonderful stay at Fera. The staff was friendly, the rooms were spotless, and the overall experience was excellent. The location was also perfect, and the amenities made my stay very comfortable.
However, I was disappointed that there were no shower facilities available after checkout. Since I had a late departure, my only option was to pay for an extra half-day to access a room for a couple of hours which I find quite unfair as the hotel was empty. It would be great if the hotel could offer a dedicated shower area for guests in similar situations.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its quality and service, but I hope they consider adding this convenience in the future.

Well located and very traditional, bar area is nice, rooftop bar is also nice.
Not well managed, no eye for detail. Several minor repairs needed in our bathroom, obvious to the maids but they either never report or no-one cares. No forward thinking. Hundreds of guests in town for a concert, but hotel bars close at 11, when they could have had a buzzing bar until 2am (and made a lot of money).

The Staff was super nice and helpful. Good food and drinks, beautiful decor, clean! The room was spacious, comfy bed, pillows and sheets.
The elevators are small, and because the hotel was full, extra time in waiting. But it was ok!

Staff is welcoming and competent. Hotel service is good. Rooftop is very good.
Pillows and bed are not very comfy. Had to sleep last day on the floor to not worsen my back. The restaurant is not very good. They don't have very clean, healthy options and are utterly unable to follow simple instructions as serving "grilled meat" with a wine reduction sauce. The whole point of asking for grilled was to have pure, clean meat. Did not offer to remedy after I pointed it out. The gym is terrible. My home gym is way better equipped, to be honest. They have 1 multiple machine, a bench, some dumbbells, 2 treadmills and one elliptical. That's it. Machine not in good condition. Also, would not call the room a "room with a view" as half "the view" is derelict ugly buildings blocking what was supposed to be the view. Location is close to the center, but very dangerous.

Fantastic renovation of beautiful historic building with modern facilities inside. Staff were v nice and Luciana, the concierge, is a super star with great recommendations and a great network.
The pool & bar on the rooftop is stunning and therefore always crowded.

The hotel Resteraunt food is so good ! The staff is so kind. So friendly. So welcoming. From the entry doorway to the rooftop , the staff did not disappoint. The rooftop pool is beautiful with the bar / Resteraunt as well. The hotel is just a vibe, all around. Very antique designs and setup but they’ve kept up with it well. You can walk anywhere in vintage Salvador from here as well. Easy for cabs to find. Great location. Very safe.
