Oliver, his Wife and Daughter, they were all very nice, very helpful I was honoured to stay in their casa. The breakfast was lovely and Oliver was very helpful, first night he drove me and my partner to a taxi rank, the second night, we left a gift in a taxi and he drove us across the city, to try & find our missing good, we never found them though the journey was full of history of Salvador, i loved our chat, a Lovely Man.

Casa Petunia is THE place to stay in Salvador! We got so lucky to have the opportunity to stay here and spend time with Petunia and her family. Our room was beautiful and had a balcony that we could enjoy. The room was very comfortable with a fantastic bed, air conditioning, and everything to ensure we were very comfortable. Not to mention, the DELICIOUS breakfast filled with unique foods and the fantastic cleaning and cooking team. We will absolutely return to Casa Petunia again.

It was like visiting friends! so nice staff and the atmosphere at the gorgeous breakfast was amazing. Lovely hosts, staff . I was lucky to meet other guests who were very nice. The owners are adorable and the breakfast guy also very attentive.
Wifi was not working very properly, the owners tryed to let it fixing but did not work. Not a big issue in such a great guest house. Bathroom without a curtain in the window, one might experience being watched during shower. I forgott to mention it to the owners, that should be there.

This is a great location in the city to enjoy the beach, and be close to the historic centre. The owners can help you with anything. The breakfast is well worth it, and you should try everything - a highlight is the fresh local fruit.

The breakfast was the best breakfast of out of maybe 5 other pousadas we stayed at while in Brazil. Petunia is incredible, and truly ensures everyone is satisfied in literally every single way. My partner got sick and she made sure we had everything we needed, the best was her allowing us to stay longer in the room since our flight didn't go out until later so that she could rest/recuperate during the day. Honestly, she was so friendly, it made me wish we had stayed longer.
The A/C didn't really work well, but since we only stayed over for one night, we didn't worry about it. The listing also mentions free airport transportation, but that is not something that is included here. Uber wasn't bad though, as uber is extremely cheap.

Petunia and her family showed us what Brazilian hospitality is at its very best with grace, kindness and incredible generosity. The breakfast is exceptional and is a Brazilian culinary tour on its own! Can't wait to get back!
