Fair
you are paying for location here, and for the novelty of staying in a Pelorinho house. Breakfast is OK
the bathrooms overfilled in shower area, drainage problem and bad smell in the bathroom. cleaning and general rooms arrangement could improve Very expensive for what you get.

Nice small hotel in a great location. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. Its an old building with a lot of charm in a living part of Salvador.

Good
Location.
Excellent location in the heart of Pelourinho, near Elevador Lacerda. There are a lot of historic places to visit around. The outside and the inside of the hotel is also historic and nicely decorated. The WiFi works fine.
Breakfast.
Excellent breakfast, in variety, taste and abdundant. Served in a panoramic breakfast room.
Spa.
There is a spa with some hot water tubs. A bit expensive but very comfortable. Times and prices very clear.
Power outlets.
A single power outlet at one side of the bed, good for a bedside lamp and phone charger.
View.
The room has zero view; the only view is dirty walls and roofs of nearby buildings. There are no curtains, so you have to choose between fully opened window or fully closed window with artificial lights. The room is falsely advertised as "city view".
Room size.
I booked a 20m room in this hotel, because it was cheaper than competitors of the same size. But I received a 12m room. It seems that the hotel only has 12m rooms, all falsely advertised as 20m.
Mattress.
The mattress is very uncomfortable, with a big hard saddle in the middle of the sleeping area, as if it has been used for years.
Appliances.
The room is advertised as having hair dryer and tea maker, but it does not have them.

The hotel is located in the historical center and all the sights are in walking distance
Not all of the front desk staff speaks good English and it was sometimes difficult to get reliable information

Wonderful
Great location in the heart of Pelourinho. The building has a lot of character and the rooms are buzzing with Bahia character. The hotel also has a spa with a jacuzzi, steam room and massage options. The highlight are the staff, Erick and Gabriel were super helpful and always had a smile on their face. Definitely a place we would go back
The rooms are a bit small but thats more to do with the structure of the building

The people were wonderful, and the breakfast even better
Three things would have significantly improved the room: one more chair like the one already there, a middle l shelf in the shelving unit, and making the shower head provide a proper stream. Everything else, great. And these things are cheap and easy.

Wonderful
The staff was super friendly, cleanliness of the room was impeccable, and location is excellent if you are travelling for tourism. Incredible bed! At night the plaza does get deserted, so would avoid hanging around.
Breakfast was good, but I was expecting a bit more of Baiana local foods to be served, like tapioca and po delcia. Other than that, just be mindful that there are parts of the hotel only accessible by stairs.

Wonderful
The vintage decor, the staff, the fact that there were a lot of tourist couples in their 20s-30s made us feel safe inside, the bed was definitely a big highlight, the spacious rooms, the variety of the breakfast buffet and the proximity to historic center.
Despite being in the historic center, you are not free of walking wherever you want for safety reasons . To call a uber early morning, we were told uber drivers are reluctant to drive up the hill because they tend to get robbed.

Good
The hotel was colorful and recently restored, maitaining its ancient vibes.
The breakfast was wonderful and the hotel and rooms were very clean.
The room provided kettle+teabags, hairdryer and the hotel offered cleaning service, very useful.
The hotel was in the centre of Pelurinho neighborhood, where you can find most of the attractions and historical places to visit.
The bathroom didn't have an actual door but some lind if wooden window shutter which didn't allow actual privacy.
