Great breakfast. The only place I found in Brazil that offers black tea and they made eggs just for me without lactose (the ones they serve have milk).

Room and appliances are a bit outdated, but everything was super organized and clean. Bed and linen were super comfortable. Shower pressure was great. The view from the room was perfect to see Band Camarote during Carnival. It may have a nicer view without the Carnival's Camarote structure. Hotel restaurant is a bit expensive, but the food is good. Room service was quite fast and could adapt food allergies. Gym was well equipped - I managed to work out there every morning. It is a great place to stay before the official Carnival week. However, I wouldn't recommend it for the Carnival itself since it get super noisy in the streets and car access is closed.
The remote of the air conditioner was very outdated, buttons were quite harsh to press. You need to get very close to the air conditioner when using the remote.

All the staff were very polite. The location is good but I had to inform Uber all the time so they wouldn't cancel the ride.
I requested for a double bed and they put two single beds together with a gap in the middle.
The toilet ceiling had mold marks. I saw some cockroaches in the loo. The minibar was noisy and smelled bad. I didn't use it and turned it off.
Someone would come to clean the room every day but they would only tidy the sheets and the towels and carpet were not replaced during my 6-day stay.
Breakfast was charged at R$25 per day, although there were no lactose-free options and I am lactose intolerant. The kitchen staff also didn't offer to fry an egg, since they added milk with lactose into the omelet.

The hallways smells like urine and the rooms are infested with bugs. It is not clean. Safe or secure.
The place was unsafe and hazardous and had bugs crawling from the cracks in the walls.

The receptionist older man. Very rude and demanding!! I thought he was going to swing a fist at us. Practically poked my eye and spit in my face!!! Very bad service.
