Great location / organized properly for carnaval/ hotel provides great breakfast buffet.
Hair dryer is not working properly. Rest of room is clean and organized.

The breakfast!!! Plenty of selections!!!
Only problem- and I understand the hotel has nothing to do with it but tourists should be aware, is whenever you exit your taxi outside the hotel, a handful of beggars waiting outside the hotel come running out to you begging for money and food. I'm not heartless, but having to always mentally prepare for this before arriving back at the hotel was always mentally tolling.

Staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast was plentiful with a lot of choices. Rooftop pool was a nice touch.
The location in the business district is pretty desolate on a holiday weekend. Elevator was exceptionally slow, leading everyone to wait a long time to go up and down. Room didn't have any extra touches, but it was fine.

Poor insulation of the bedrooms, you could hear the elevator and people walking around. Also, the mini bar made a lot of noise at night, and it couldn't be unplugged

The pool area and the breakfast are great
They wanted to charge me 150 reales because there was a friend of mine waiting for his flight back home. I really didn't get it. We ended up not paying and going out for hours. Customer service has a lot to learn still. My room was behind an elevator, and made a lot of noise all night long.

Disappointing
Breakfast was very nice and the the restaurant was spacious.
Check-in took more than 25 minutes, even though there were only two guests ahead of us. This is very unusual for a hotel of this standard. The staff were not polite and worked very slowly. No assistance was provided to make our stay comfortable — not even with carrying our luggage to the room.
Almost all room instructions were written only in Portuguese, making it difficult for international travelers. The room lacked basic facilities: no electric kettle, no tea/coffee, no toothpaste or toothbrush, and the cooling fan was so noisy that I had to keep it off. No complementary water in the room!
Considering the price, the hotel is expensive, but the service is extremely poor. I would strongly advise international travelers to avoid this hotel.

The staff is amazing, I asked to change the room and they did it and very friendly. The hotel is old but I think is very well maintained. I asked a front view and it was great.
The location is very good for the historic places around, but at night seems not very safe area.

The beds could be a bit less bouncy.
The check-in time took over an hour. It's not very pleasing after a long flight. Also the check out is time consuming. Please allow at least an hour so you can book your UBER accordingly.
