I loved the location, the friendly staff, the great quality service, the spacious rooms and bathrooms, and the wonderful breakfasts. A great value for the amount paid.
I think the rooms need minor updates, such as electric plugs by the beds.

Nice breakfast. Good location.
Room was smaller than expected. No place to sit; other than on the bed. Smoke detector was missing (but replaced once we pointed it out). Charged us 600 Reis more once we got there. Wanted to watch Grey Cup football game on 10th floor bar tv (no one there but us) but were told it wasn't permitted.

I like how clean was the property. Cleaning Lady made really good job. Breakfast was very very good and everyone could find something nice to eat

Good location. Staff were nice. Good buffet.
Airport is about 10 miles from hotel but it takes at least 45” to get to airport before rush hour. During rush hour it can take 60-90” so plan ahead.
I would have liked a hot water kettle in the room. Some days it was difficult to get information because many staff speak little. There was usually one staff member that spoke English but you didn’t which one until you approached desk. Then if English speaker was with another guest you have to wait in their line. Maybe have a line dedicated to English speakers since many ppl from all over the world speak some English and very little foreigners speak Portuguese. The staff did their best and were very nice. This is the same situation at airport, restaurants, stores.
There were no umbrellas by pool or outside tables on roof. It gets sunny and hot quickly and there was no shade options.

Location is nice and in lively atmosphere. Everything you need within an easy reach. I consider hotel location is much safer location compared to others in Rio.
Almost an hour to complete the check in is absolutely ridiculous. Staff wasting time chatting with each others and taking their time without any respect to customers standing in front desk or long wait queue.
Moreover, the hotel size is very huge and number of residents can be huge. You could see this clear with the breakfast waiters unwelcoming people in the morning breakfast.

Hotel was good value and well-located, though a few long blocks from the beach. The area is quite urban, fine if you like and know Rio, but not meant for tourists or wealthy people.
Front desk staff had some surly types. Breakfast menu was sparse and the same every day. I was surprised at the end of my stay to realize that I would be charged for the Nespresso capsules that were provided.

Size of room with many windows and great view, pool on rooftop with great view, buffet breakfasts and dinners. Well staffed reception, front door, and dining room. Staff addressed issues.
Having to wait four hours for the malfunctioning safe door to be drilled open (with my things inside); and being assigned to a room next to a room where an elderly woman lived who played the TV loudly all night long until 5AM or 6AM. Only when I realized after 3 nights that it wasn't just a rude guest, I asked for intervention and was given a new room. Knowingly assigning a paying customer to room 718 and subjecting us to such disruptively loud noise is cruel and unworthy of the Windsor brand. Three sleepless nights impaired my ability to function. Also the bathtub is a jacuzzi but did not function, so no relaxation relief there either.

Paid extra to upgrade to executive double room. Lots of staff and security. Buffet breakfasts and dinner.
The jacuzzi tub doesn't work. Waiting for housekeeping to check your room and report back to reception when you check out is time-consuming and insulting. Make sure to build time in if you ordered an Uber.

Facilities were incredible, specially the restaurant and the pool area. Breakfast was exceptional.
The area around the hotel is not the best to walk, specially at night, but is acceptable. The Air Conditioning control is quite old and does not allow for proper management of the room temperature.

Very Poor
The hotel is old, with old appliances, furniture and amenities. It meeds serious upgrade. The pillows were dirty and yellowish. The lights were dim. Broken shaving mirror. No microwave. No complimentary water (which every hotels peovide as basic courtesy at least for the first day). They advertised they have a gym where none of the equipments work other than 2 treadmills. They don't have dumbbells either which is so basic. Overall it was not a good experience for us. Will never stay in that hotel.
