Staying at Villa Laurinda was the kickstart to probably the most amazing trip of my life in my 22 years on this earth. I originally booked here, because it had good ratings in a safe area. So, for us (3 American women in a big city that they only knew so much alike) to arrive to, not only a house but a home, was bliss. Walter gave us a sense of understanding of the bigger picture of Brasil, while taking the time to introduce us to his surroundings. And Daniel was the most wonderful host, conversationalist, & guide to the beautiful city that he cares so much about. He brings such a warm sense of home to the Villa. Were so glad we stayed here, especially as our first stop. The Villa Laurinda has such a magical, peaceful feeling that were so grateful to have experienced!

It was great to enjoy the swimming pool in Santa Teresa. The Villa is in a very quiet street but only 4 minutes away from our favourite bars and restaurants in Santa Teresa.

The villa and outdoor space are beautiful and the property is very well located in Santa Teresa. Good breakfast served on the terrasse. Daniel is a wonderful host who makes everybody feel welcome. He is very knowledgeable on all activities available in the area including hikes (and speaks English!) Would definitely recommend!

Great location, spacious and beautiful room and of course a nice garden and swimming pool, which is definitely nice in the Brazilian heat. Walter and Daniel are both really nice and helpful guys, recommend staying here!
The neighbourhood is lovely but very steep so keep this in mind when booking.

Daniel is amazing, giving you tons of advices and great to have a chat with him. The house is lovely and the breakfast is really good with some really good home made cakes ! really nice pool too!

The neighborhood is perfect, with local bars, restaurants, beautiful architecture and nice small streets to walk around, the Villa is beautiful, breakfast in the terrace is fresh and complete. You can get great advise from the staff, the pool was always perfect, and the garden is quiet and calm after walking busy days in Rio.
