The apartment is lovely with a great view of Pao de Acucar. It's only a 5 minute walk from Largo dos Guimaraes in central Santa Teresa. The area felt perfectly safe for me while I was there.

Wonderful
The view from our apartment was amazing.
The location was on a steep hillside. Walking to the metro or restaurant downtown the hill and back up again can be challenging.

Poor
During day location is fine, but don't go around after 8 pm, not very safe.
Airconditioner - several issues. Apartment was super humid (March), Air conditioner was not cooling. The black mold was falling out of the air conditioner right onto our heads on bed. There are several air conditioning units outside the window and the noise is unbearable.

Staff was friendly.
1. Windows are bad (you hear a lot of noise especially in the morning from parrots) 2. Location is bad (no shops, taxi come very slow, not luch to see arround) 3. Appartment is very small (even for a couple) 4. Appartment is a little old

Disappointing
The view is the biggest asset of this property. No one can complaint about it as the Sugar Loaf is really there all the time looking at you. We could even see it from bed. That was amazing.
The experience was disappointing from so many angles. First, it's important to note that we stayed 15 nights at the apartment so this feedback is not based on a single-night stay. Here's the list of the aspects that would make me think twice about rebooking this property: 1. The AC: water leakage (condensation) caused inconvenience during our stay. Host's delayed response led to a week-long issue unresolved, impacting our experience negatively. 2. The cleanliness: upon arrival, observed uncleanliness including hair, stains, and odors, addressed upon request but persisted with subsequent issues like dirt, cockroaches, and flies, affecting comfort and hygiene. 3. Painting & Renovations needed: the reality the apartment showed signs of excessive usage and lack of maintenance when it comes to painting and change of some appliances. 4. Door safety: it was incredible to find that the main door or the apartment had a very loose handle and a very small key. The apartment also did not have any safe which made us fear for the safety of our belongings. 5. The staff: there's no onsite front desk, just the cleaning team who is at the property daily from 09am to 6pm. Apart from one of the workers (called Rian) the rest of the team had an unhelpful approach to our frustration and requests. 4. The host: property communication via "anonymous" WhatsApp group lacks accountability, leading to delayed or ignored responses to inquiries and complaints, compounded by a dismissive and condescending communication style.

This is a good location for staying in Santa Teresa, which we loved. There was a good view from one of the bedrooms and the living room. Good value for cost. A functional 2 bedroom. It was quiet.
The unit is bare bones. It is functional but there are no niceties. There's nothing on the walls, which need painting,. There are only ceiling lights, Guests are required to take out their trash and wash their dishes before they leave. Normally this is not a problem and something we try to always do. However, we had to rewash everything we used in the kitchen and there is no elevator and the trash bin is located outside of the building so you will probably need to do a separate trip.

Wonderful apartment for our two weeks. Felt better than home, nice quiet space; it was great sleeping!
Only challenge is the climb up and down to the grocery store.

Communication was good, the accommodations were as advertised.
Our flight was late and they wanted to charge us an extra R$120 late check in fee to be paid in cash for arriving after 9:00 pm despite our proactive communication; even when the person who met us lived in the same building. When we didn't have cash on arrival and told them to bill us through booking we never heard anything more. One of the beds was weak or sagging. The water was very hot in the bathroom sink, but only warm in the shower (never hot). There was a smell of urine present when we arrived and evidence of a mold problem. The location was awkward with no grocery store, restaurants or shopping nearby, just a small corner store and the streets were narrow and steep. The rent was high, but that was related to Carnaval as everywhere was high.

The view was the best thing about this property.
Badly maintained and run-down , poor communication at the start, later got better. It is on the hill and not easy to walk there, always need a taxi or uber. Definitely low value for money.

Very good hotel. Rooms 204 and 304 with kitchen have fantastic city view with Sugar Loaf. Rooms have washing machines!Walking downhill time to the metro station Gloria is 10-12 minutes. If you walk to the hotel from the metro you will go 20 minutes because of climbing uphill. Better use backpack when climbing back from food shop to the hotel. Coffee shop and bar are in front of the hotel's door: coffee, soft drinks, beer, alcohol, snacks and coconuts (costs only 8 BRL per piece). Very friendly and really helpful people. Perfect internet. Safe and calm place. We will come back again.
The have everything you need but some cooking items need the upgrade.

Great view but there is nothing elsejust normal
The room has a great view, but there is nothing else. After prepaying the amount on the booking platform, you need to pay 130 again. Why is the cleaning fee not directly added to the booking order to know the total amount, and it needs to be paid separately. The washing machine is broken. because the location is remote, and the mobile phone signal is not good. What's even worse is that when you prepare to check outthere will be staff watching you check out and counting the items in the room one by one, for fear that you will take away their belongings. This is a terrible experience
