The location must be one of the best in Rio,right on the beach.No view from my window since I did not pay for an ocean view.Breakfast was very good.
I know Rio quite well and would not describe staff in hotels as charming.Perhaps it is because they become jaded with tourists.The reception staff here is not welcoming verging on rude.

The location is second to none. It is right on the beach and a block away from all the restaurants and shops. Close to the subway.
There are only 2 elevators for all the guests who have to compete with the staff and their carts, leaving us waiting many times. The rooms are humid and a little musty. Not sure how this could be solves.

Great location directly across from Ipanema Beach near Posto 9. The breakfast is solid — bacon, eggs, good fruit selection. The rooftop pool is small but the views from up there are stunning. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Good value for the location.

Excellent Hotel right in the heart of Ipanema Beach, well decorated, great facilities, clean, and most of all amazing and helpful staff. The fact that the hotel gives you beach towels, chairs and beach umbrella is a very nice treat! The breakfast was delicious, plenty to chose from, with great coffee. The view to the beach is totally worth it!

I didn’t like anything.
The front desk agent yawning and sniffling when I arrived and yawning each time I saw him working
The smell of the first room that was unacceptable and moldy.
The noise from the corridors and neighboring rooms because there is absolutely no soundproofing in the walls.
the cold scrambled eggs and lack of lactose free alternatives at breakfast. The horrible burnt filter coffee at breakfast.
And the fact that no complimentary water or coffee capsules are provided for a room that costs over €500 per night is ridiculous.
This hotel is a bad 2-3 star hotel - only reason it is expensive is for its location.
Don’t waste your money. Book an Airbnb and walk to Ipanema beach.

The hotel was conveniently located on the main avenue facing the ocean in Ipanema, just steps away from the beach and only a few short blocks away from restaurants and padarias in the neighborhood. The staff were super helpful and flexible with accommodating our arrival and departure times. We found the breakfast to be delicious and well stocked, and rooftop pool was a nice break st the end of the day. Highly recommend Padaria Ipanema and Boteco Belmonte, both suggested by members of the hotel staff.
Can’t think of anything per se. Would maybe suggest a little more robust offering of suggested tours through Rio.

Beautiful location and amazing staff. Spacious room. The hotel restaurant had great dinner, and the breakfast buffet was amazing. The area is walkable to great restaurants, cafes, and any amenity you would need. Some of the most accommodating and responsive hotel staff I have ever encountered!

Excellent location, very comfortable room, great bed and linens. Very good breakfast and beach service.
The elevator is the slowest one I’ve ever seen. It takes a very long time to arrive, and you wait approximatedly 5 minutes everytime you call it. Also, it's the same elevator used by the staff, so, sometimes it arrives full with service carts, so you cannot enter. The shampoo provided is also not very good and doesn’t clean the hair properly. In addition, the cleaning staff talk very loudly right outside the rooms in the morning, waking guests up and making it hard to fall back asleep. Their phones also keep ringing and receiving messages with loud notification sounds, which is quite annoying. The price feels a bit high for what is offered, but I believe it’s in line with standard rates in Rio.

We had a lovely one-night stay. After our flight was cancelled, the staff welcomed us warmly. Thank you Nicolas Cesar, assisted by Tiago Barbosa. Nicolas even upgraded us to a beach-view room. Great butler service too! The airport transfer was smooth. Truly appreciated.
