Wonderful
Th location of the hotel is great with direct access to the hotels own beach club on Copacabana. The restaurant of the 6th floor is also offers a great view but only if you sit outside. Good security system and very efficient stuff.
Coffeee at breakfast does not match the level of the hotel. Although in general breakfast is great. Also, the fact that the hotel has 2 pools does not help as both pools are no for swimming, They are far too small and you can only stay with the drink in your hand not more.

The room, view. The welcome at reception. The excellently friendly and helpful Butler, Ruan. The Fairmont Gold happy hour was nice although our second night when busier the food options werent replenished very well. Breakfast in the Fairmont Gold room was very good.
Replenish the happy hour buffet better (2nd night).

The staff were above and beyond expectations. Especially for breakfast. The food was also Michellin star quality.
The response was curt when requested an early check in by 1hour... arrived at 14.45.. check in time 15.00.. room not ready until 15.45.. Late check requested at 13.00 hours.. normal check out 12.00 hours.. not available because the hotel was apparently . FULL..yet it was plainly evident at less than 40 percent occupancy.. the system undermines the quality of the staff.. very sad for such an expensive hotel.

The security following me outside when I went to speak to a local guy I met during the beginning of my stay at the WINDSOR CALIFORNIA. I stayed in Rio and Buzio the finished at the FAIRMOUNT. so I was here a good while. I met people and didn't appreciate getting stereotyped because it was two black people outside sharing a cigarette talking

The staff are super attentive and ready to help. Room was big and very comfy bed. The breakfast was excellent with a selection of breads, fruits, omelette station, etc. Location is just perfect between Ipanema and Copacabana. It was a true holiday!

The staff was up to the level it supposed to be, but i would like to underline it to as the service was exceptional. The location was great, both terraces of the hotel with the pools were nice and relaxing. Amazing view from the terrace facing the beach. The cocktails of this hotels are probably one of the best in the city. I would highly recommend the bar! Very good food.
The beach club could be more isolated But I don't know, maybe there is a law which forbids to isolate a public beach
