Exceptional
Excellent location, very walkable. Rooms are nice. If I went back to Rio, I would stay there again.

Very Good
Location was great right on Copacabana beach. Very nice roof top bar, restaurant, pool and sauna area on 30th floor overlooking the ocean and Copacabana.
They need to sweep the front entrance area, sand and dirt in front the main entrance to the hotel. Also nobody checks who enter the hotel, it could be anyone just sneak in and to the elevator or you rooms. Cameras present everywhere but its jot enough. Overall great hotel, pleasant atmosphere there, good breakfast.

Disappointing
The location is fantastic — right on Copacabana, surrounded by great restaurants, close to the subway, and just steps from the beach. It’s easy to walk along the coast to Arpoador, Ipanema, or even Leme. Beyond the location, the front desk staff and bellmen were incredibly kind and helpful, which made a big difference during our stay. The hotel clearly requires some operational updates and renovations, but it seems improvements are already underway.
The hotel is large and hosts many guests, so amenities can get busy. Expect lines for simple things like check-in and check-out, and the pool and sauna are often crowded. The beach service is a bit chaotic, so I wouldn’t rely on it. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, I’d recommend getting up early to avoid the rush.
The biggest issue is the rooms: the older ones are very dated, with poor soundproofing (Atlântica Avenue is loud), dim lighting, and worn-out beds. We ended up moving to one of their newer, updated rooms (not listed on Booking) because the original room was simply uncomfortable. While photos on the site may make the hotel look like a typical large, traditional property, in reality many areas are quite old and in need of renovation.

Very Poor
The view from the pool THAT’S IT don’t ever stay here. Anyway there no where to sit at the pool…
Nothing is worth it from that hotel. Staff are mean and don’t help you if you need something. The rooms are really bad. The patio door doesn’t close all the way in every room. The check-in is a mess with super long line up. They tried to charge us double the price we paid for 1 weeks and we had to argue with them and show how much we actually paid for it.
Elevator to go to the pool are so slow, be prepared to wait 10-20 minutes to get a chance to get in there.
The breakfast is the worst i’ve seen in my life. Go eat anywhere else because if you count on that to feed you forget about it.
Do yourself a favor and book ANYWHERE ELSE even for few hundred dollars. With my work i stay more than 100 nights in hotels per year and that the worst i ever been. Don’t be cheap it will ruin your vacation in Brazil.

Pleasant
The location and the view.
It is old and outdated. Shower stopped working when someone flushed the toilet in a different room (happened multiple times within 5mins). Closet door was broken. The room was old, the chairs seemed even damaged at the bottom (things were hanging out from the seat)

Pool was very nice, breakfast is good. It’s the tallest building on Copacabana so it’s cool to see the whole beach from above.
It took an hour and a half in line to check in. In need of more front desk staff, for the price of the hotel. The shower water goes all over the floor in the bathroom because it’s all one level.

Location is the best. Pool area and Copacabana view was great
I felt that the staff was overwhelmed for pick of holiday season. Quality of services and time to be served at local restaurants and beach services were not good enough mainly when you expect much more for the price you are paying. Something that to me was not acceptable was the fact to be charged for a single bucket of ice. It’s not about the amount of money, it’s just the fact. I complained but they said it is what it is.

Very Poor
The rooftop area and views were nice.
We were given an unclean, dingy room. The AC didn’t work. We asked for a fan. We had to wait until the next morning for someone to come look at the AC unit. He didn’t fix it and we didn’t get a fan. Another day passed and we called again and were finally offered a different room. There was no support with luggage from bellhops on arrival. None of the staff were friendly. Service on the roof was slow. Breakfast was not good. We paid extra for a “luxury” room and the only thing we got was a different location for breakfast. Not worth it. This hotel did not meet expectations for the price point at all.
