Staff was very friendly. Good breakfast. Good location.
The door of the shower didn’t close, there was mold in the bathroom, the bin was occidated, I had a desk but no light close to the desk so impossible to work at night, the bedside table was about to collapse, the melamine coating came of the coffee table.

Streaming tv didnt work. We tried to communicate that to the hotel but they just said they have escalated it, to no avail. So the whole stay we didnt have streaming tv at all.

Junior Suites- bathroom sliding door somehow unable to lock, uncomfotable if you are staying with friends or even family. They gonna see what u doing inside. Gaps between the center and ends of the sliding door.

Staff is nice but besides that, nothing about the hotel was good.
Absolutely awful. The shower was terrible, with barely any water pressure, and the few drops that did come out shot in every different direction. On top of that, the drains were completely clogged, so taking a shower meant the stall instantly flooded like a bathtub. To make matters worse, I found cockroaches in the room every single day. The Wi-Fi never worked—not even enough to send a simple message—and every recommendation from the staff turned out to be a bust. This place is way too expensive for what you actually get. The only saving graces were the collection and the fact that the staff was nice.

Location is good. Ocean view is not front, the view is on the side.
Is an old hotel, needs a bit of remodeling. That makes you feel that is not clean enough, even though it is clean.

The rooftop area was large and offered stunning 360 degree views and the staff was kind, friendly and helpful. Fast and comfortable elevators. Nice breakfast and spacious restaurant. Large seating area in lobby. The accommodations were not as posh as other premier hotels I’ve stayed at in Rio, but the pricing reflected that, so this was a great value stay. I came to Rio for the beauty, not to stay in my room. Very happy. I’ll be back!

The location was excellent, the property felt very safe, and the hotel was clean overall. Most of the staff members I interacted with were friendly and helpful, especially after the initial check-in issue was resolved.
My stay started on a frustrating note. Although I had booked a full-size bed, I was initially told only twin rooms were available. After insisting on the room type I reserved, I was placed in a room that did not seem ready for guests: it had a strong dog smell, was not properly cleaned, and was extremely small and impractical for a work trip, very different from the photos online.
After I raised the issue, another staff member was very kind, apologized, and moved me to a much better room, which completely improved my stay. Because of that, I felt the initial situation could have been handled with more care and professionalism.
Once the room was changed, my stay was good overall.

Perfect location right by Copacabana Beach. The balcony is large and amazing, and the king room was very comfortable. Breakfast was great, especially the fresh and delicious fruits.
The interior could use a refresh and feel more modern.

Location is perfect and the rooftop view might be one of the best in Copacabana.
Managing this reservation was absolute chaos as nobody in the whole Hotel or Pestana's customer support was reachable for days before my arrival. Fortunately they solved the issue at check-in. Rooms are pretty small.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Pestana Hotel in Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro. The location is fantastic—just steps from the beach—and the atmosphere throughout the hotel is comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast spread was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. I also appreciated the availability of a gym and pool, which made it easy to relax and stay active during the stay.
What really stood out was the attentiveness of the staff. When we had to check out very early at 4 am, they thoughtfully prepared a lunch box for us to take along, which was such a kind and memorable gesture. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would happily stay here again.
