The location was great - near the beach, shops and restaurants in the heart of Ipanema.
There were no instructions in the apartment so we couldnt get the cooker to work. There was no cold water in the taps. The staff on the reception area didnt know how anything worked. The apartment looks onto a small internal well and there are no windows so no natural light.

Excellent location, modern flat, quite, clean
Sauna was not hot enough. The pool is quite small with restricted sun due to buildings but you have the beach one block away.

Everything about this apartment is amazing. The location, the balcony, the space, the bed was comfortable. The rooms were cleaned especially well. The kitchen was perfect. Check in and out was super smooth. I'd highly recommend.

Nice place. The reception was great, accommodating, also and very friendly. Beautiful big apartment with a large balcony. I will def stay here again the next time I go to Rio hopefully soon.
I have no dislikes. I stayed only 1 night unfortunately and we were not in the room much.

Location was in safe area.
Were not informed how to use the remotes for air conditioner, television, how to request maid service. The 5th day, we got the front desk fellow to come to our room and show us how to turn on the switch for maid service. Used same towels for 4 days. Our family in Apt 406 had cold water for 5 days. We requested maintenance to come every day. The pool was closed and unkept.

Fabulous staff... felt very safe... so close to everything.... perfect.... you can put a do not disturb light at your door so the apartment so no one comes in... great feature for all of your luggage ie personal belongings while traveling!!!

Apartment 406 is nice and quiet ...most days
On check in, was given apartment 202, which is on low floor at front of building next to extremely busy road. Got absolutely no sleep due to constant noisy road traffic. No one speaks English in front desk until after 2pm in afternoon. Managed to change apartment to 406 which is at back of building and quiet. Only one cotton cover sheet on bed and no additional sheets or blankets in apartment. Asked the cleaning maid for two days for additional sheets and/or blanket. For 3 days of stay, building work, ie hammering of walls being taken out on apartment next door to my apartment in same building for several hours each day.

The location is great, just a couple of minutes from the beach and close to nice bars and restaurants in Ipanema. The staff was very friendly and could speak English, and the apartment was relatively spacious with a small kitchen, bathroom, table, big couch, tv, balcony, and a seperate bedroom.
The building and everything in it seem to date back to some decennia ago. Don't expect anything fancy, new or modern, so in that sense I think it's not necessarily great value for money. The pictures are perhaps a bit deceitful. The pool for instance is more like a jacuzzi in a tiny garden and the "gym" definitely should not be called a gym.
