Disappointing
The low rate for a standard room makes this hotel a decent deal for its location if Copacabana is a must.
The square in front of the hotel accommodated a local market when I arrived. The smell of fish, sewage and human waste was overpowering. Then came the open top garbage trucks. So the location is far from ideal, complete with its share of homeless people all around.
The room itself had seen better days, starting with a sagging curtain and a total lack of of soundproofing, which left no place for imagination as to what my neighbors were up to at any time.e of the day or night.
The rooftop pool can netter be described as an oversized jacuzzi and the terrace bar as an empty counter.
The staff was professional but not exactly warm or friendly.
All in all, this was not my worst stay, but definitely nothing to write home about.

The room was very spacious and had everything we needed! AC worked great which was nice after coming in from long days at the beach. Water pressure was great in the showers as well! Staff was SO kind!! Rafael was so sweet and welcoming and everyone always said hi as we walked in. Staff gave great recommendations for things to do. Breakfast was included and good! They even gave us champagne in our room for NYE!
Pool was smaller than expected but we were so close to the beach we never needed to use it

Nice location, breakfast, and bedroom. Clean and confortable. The staff very helpful and friendly.
There was not hot water the night we arrive, but it was a problem beyond their control. And most improtant, the swimming pool was super small, and dirty. I couldn't get in, and I really wanted to as it was so hot. The show it in the pictures and you would think is a big and nice pool.

Location is great.
The picture of having a swimming pool is very misleading. The swimming pool is tiny and was not maintained.
We made the reservation 7 months in advance and asked 2 rooms connected... plenty of time to plan it. But we never got that.

Most disgusting place I have ever witnessed. We immediately checked out when we saw the room. Blood stained sheets all over, everywhere is moldy. Clumps of hair on the floor. Also the floor was disgusting as well, plus the mold smell OMG. Just don’t go. The location seems okay but when you see it in person, it is not safe at all. Plus on Booking the hotel has 4 stars but in reality it has 3 so….

We arrived in Rio via the Norwegian cruise ship. The hotel location was located right at the centre between the ship dock and the international airport. So the distance to travel to get to the hotel and the airport was not far at all and the cost of taxi or uber to get to our destination was quite affordable. We are from Canada and does not speak the language there at all but all the staff at the front desk all spoke english very efficiently which was wonderful to us. And they were very helpful in suggesting where we can go sightseeing and getting us the taxi to get there. The wonderful man who assisted us with the luggages were also very polite and helpful in so many ways. The hotel location is just a couple of minutes of walking to Copacabana beach!!! And just a short taxi ride you'll be at this amazing mall which I forgot to look for the name and again just a short taxi ride you will be at Christ the Redeemer place. And a bonus, on Sunday only and right in front of the hotel is a market. They sell fruits, souvenirs, flowers, meat, etc.
