Alexandre is the greatest of host! Very friendly and always ready to help. He even brought me to improve my Portuguese as we discussed a lot.
The room is a bit tiny for 8 beds and it sometimes get tricky to move when its full house.

The owner is super friendly and entertaining even though he doesnt speak English. My friend got the super power to understand almost everything what he talks by his body language lol
It is on the top of the hill in favela.. the neighborhood is safe and ok but it was bothersome to walk up to the hotel after a lot of activities. ( Uber/ taxi doesnt go up to to the top of the hill. You have to walk up the hill every time.) The bed room..dont trust the picture. Its ok and cleanliness is acceptable, but I felt tricked by the picture.

An extremly welcomeing and familiar environment. The hosts Alessandro and Cristina are very kind and helpfull. The hostal is located in the community of Leme, 10 minutes walking from the beach, with amazing sea views and local nature close by. They provide an excelent breakfast in addition to evening meals and drinks. I would highly recomend this hostal to any travellers looking for the authentic ro experience. Obrigado Mar de Babilonia!

the family who runs the hostel are very nice and helps a lot!
we came with suitcases and it was almost impossible to get to the hostel because the only way there is through hundreds of stairs, which is something you should take in consideration.

The host are really nice !
The view from the room is just amazing with the favela and the sea view.
The area is really safe ! Even if you are a solo woman travel.
10 min walking from the beach or 3 min by moto taxi !
Mattress is thin .. Shower curtain could be changed (mold). The locker are too small for a backpacker
