Wonderful
Breakfast was sumptuous (elegant, so many choices), The location right across the street from Barra Da Tijuca beach cannot be overstated ... it as close as it gets. Nice clean room (we were a family of 4 and room was big). WiFi was great, big size Bathroom, good water pressure.
Not sure I have anything to complain :)

Breakfast: Staff, picking up plates, where too disturbing. example: while still eating at the table, staff were taking away plates whithout asking!! too disturbing!! Most IMPORTANT, which it is unacepptable. All staff at the restaurant DO NOT SPEAK , DO NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!! It is the international language please!! At that Hotel people all over the world pay for their stay: Russians, British, Germans, Argentinians, Noth americans. I could understand them due to my mother tongue spanish, and I could make some questions in portuguese, but SERIOUSLY, they should, the y must speak ENGLISH!!
Laghetto has an agreement with BOOKING .COM. Thats ok, mostly I book through that app. BUT....I have travelled around the world, if booking.com gives the possibility to PAY AT THE PROPERTY, then IT IS SO. At Laghetto Stilo Barra Hotel IT DID NOT WORK, for the first stay of a total of 7 NIGHTS. on my second reservation ( I created separate but it was booked dates in a row from first resrvation) it was also CHARGED ASAP, not only the same happened eventhough I clicked on PAY AT PROPPERTY, ..the worst think was at the front desk, they CHARGED ME AGAIN my SECOND STAY. I have realized once I checked my bank account. went back to the front desk, they did the Refund BUT..I dont think the employees, what kind of PROBLEM this could be for a tourist being abroad been charge double with the card!! yes, they appologizem but they ddi not show the concern about the problem!!!

Location, friendly staff, view
Pool is too small & closes early. Should switch breakfast options up from day to day. Should also offer appetizers for sale around the pool area for purchase. Bikes in gymnasium had dead batteries and there are only 2 treadmills and the incline doesnt work on either, also the machines are missing several pins to hold weight.

Breakfast and room view to the beach. Location is excellent.
Entering the lobby there is a strong musty smell that penetrates the nose. Also, inside of the room there is this damp smell that is unpleasant. That should be noticed by the hotel staff and do something about it. I will probably not return to this hotel because of that reason.
In general, I think hotel needs investment and more maintenance. Small thinks like liquid soap holder loose or unscrewed on the wall. Front desk at lobby with cracks, lack of paint in different parts of the hotel.

Except for tge problem that we has with the keys, I loved to stay in there. Tayna the bartender was great and Matheus the concierge was amazing from the beginning to the end offering an upgrade for the room with a sea view! And the man called "bless" was an angel!
That i had to wait too much dor the key door problem to be resolved

location is a bit far from the action, street was noisy (lot of car horns), and it was pretty windy most days; but these are not a reflection of the hotel's quality obviously

Wonderful
The hotel was as expected, the building, amenities, rooms and restaurante were very good. We went there with some friends for a short trip and we had a great experience overall.
The bar on the rooftop was under construction, it would have been great to have that to enjoy the great view they have upstairs.

Disappointing
We paid for room service one night.
The air conditioner would make loud noises and would constantly wake us up. The sink was clogged and it took them two days to fix it. The Ventilation was bad, the floor would become damp if the air conditioner was not running. They were not able to put us and our family close together even though we booked months ahead and requested for it.

The room was available and they let us do an early check-in, at no extra cost. Excellent breakfast.
Balcony glass screen and door are not sound proof. The street noise was a bit annoying.
